**Uenoike Animal Hospital Group's Dream**
*Creating a society where people worldwide have the courage to act*
*— Proving life's possibilities beyond the veterinary field —*

Suddenly, have you ever felt, "Is this how my life should be?"

Doing the same job every day, in the same place, with the same people.

This daily routine is not to be taken for granted; it's a crucial accumulation of efforts supporting animals and their owners.
I, too, have cherished the small events and growth within my daily life.

However, if you have even a slight desire to "see a different world," I believe that one step can be a significant catalyst for expanding life's possibilities.

As a veterinarian, I have faced countless lives. Life is finite. That's precisely why people should inherently live more freely and boldly.
In fact, overseas, in environments with different languages and cultures, by speaking up and taking action myself, I have repeatedly experienced moments where my perspective on life changed, meeting fascinating people with different values whom I would never have encountered in my previous life.

This wasn't because I had special talents. It was simply the difference of whether I took action or not.

Our dream is to create a society where everyone can be excited about their own potential and take action.

**Why We Want to Achieve This Dream**
When I was in high school, I was told that being a veterinarian was a tough and uninspiring profession. I believe this is something many veterinary students and veterinarians have heard at least once.

Indeed, the veterinary field is demanding, with significant mental and physical burdens. However, I have always believed that this reality can be changed through action, rather than simply accepting it.

In practice, by consciously using positive words and accumulating actions with gratitude for each day, I have experienced gradual changes in the people I meet and the environments I encounter.
Approaching each day with "thank you" and "wonderful" changes one's own actions, and as a result, changes how the surrounding world is perceived.

The modern era is said to be uncertain. However, I believe there is reproducibility even within this uncertainty. By accumulating small efforts and actions daily, significant changes can eventually be created. This accumulation is the driving force that brings about one's own success and expands life's possibilities.

Furthermore, I have realized that a single small act of courageously speaking up can be a major turning point in life. Actions like conducting interviews overseas or interacting with local people, where I took the initiative, led to new encounters and broadened my values, showing me a world I hadn't seen before.

In other words, I believe that it's not the environment that determines life, but the accumulation of small daily actions that changes the future. That's why, even with the reality that the veterinary profession is considered tough, I believe its possibilities can be greatly expanded depending on how one approaches it.

**What We Are Doing to Achieve Our Dream**
**① Providing Highly Specialized Veterinary Medical Care**
We are strengthening specialized medical care such as oncology surgery, FIP treatment, and orthopedics, and are committed to creating a practice where we seriously confront life.

Currently, we aim to establish a system of 10 hospitals nationwide within two years. This is not merely about expanding our scale, but about increasing the number of high-quality medical facilities while maintaining Japan's strengths in veterinary medicine: high diagnostic accuracy, thorough diagnosis, and medical care that prioritizes trust with pet owners.

We believe that building a strong foundation domestically is crucial for enhancing our ability to disseminate information overseas. Japanese veterinary medicine has strengths globally, including high diagnostic accuracy, deep specialization, and meticulous medical response.

While continuing to refine these strengths domestically, we will also communicate the unique value of Japanese veterinary medicine to the world. We believe that raising the level of practice serves as a foundation for personal growth and challenges, ultimately leading to the improvement of veterinary medicine across borders.

**② Building a Challenging Environment Through International Collaboration**
We actively visit overseas sites to experience differences in culture and medical environments.

For example, we visited animal hospitals in Pakistan, including regions considered dangerous in terms of security, and experienced vastly different clinical environments from Japan. There, we encountered not only dogs and cats but also animals like goats, learning about the reality of veterinary medicine beyond the scope of small animal care. Witnessing the lack of medical equipment and drugs, where basic medical care taken for granted in Japan was unavailable, made us keenly aware of the significant disparities in veterinary medicine.

In Brunei, we provided guidance on ultrasound and endoscopic examinations to veterinarians from different countries, cultures, religions, and languages. Inspired by the strong local desire to introduce advanced medical care even in limited environments, we accepted overseas veterinarians for practical training in Japan. As a result, ultrasound equipment was introduced to animal hospitals in Brunei after their return, leading to concrete improvements in local diagnostic capabilities.

Furthermore, in the Philippines, we visited animal hospitals in extremely challenging economic conditions, including slum areas, and strongly felt the medical disparity with Japan. Witnessing the reality of many cats and dogs unable to receive appropriate treatment, we aim to establish FIP treatment centers there in the future. We are committed to creating a system that delivers necessary medical care regardless of economic background.

We believe these experiences are not just overseas visits, but proof that taking action can create concrete changes in society.

**③ Creating Opportunities for Action Through Dissemination**
We share our overseas challenges, real encounters, and growth processes through YouTube and social media.

For example, overseas, small actions like speaking up led to opportunities to interact with fascinating people whom I would never have met in my previous life. Experiences of engaging with people across language and cultural barriers significantly broadened my values and perspectives.

Locally, we also actively interview animal hospital staff and pet owners to directly hear about veterinary conditions and differences in animal values in each country. Understanding the reality that animal medical care varies greatly depending on economic and cultural backgrounds provided an opportunity to re-evaluate Japanese veterinary medicine.

These encounters and dialogues were not coincidental but resulted from taking action. We are sharing our real-life experiences to show that by changing one's environment and taking a step forward, new encounters are born, values expand, and there are moments when one's view of life changes.

This is not mere entertainment; we believe it is proof that taking action changes how one sees the world and expands life's possibilities.

By disseminating these real experiences, we aim to provide society with opportunities for people to think, "I want to take a step forward too."

**④ Developing Globally Competent Human Resources**
We are committed to developing human resources with not only clinical skills but also judgment, initiative, and an international perspective.
We believe that individual growth expands the possibilities of society.

**Future Challenges**
In the future, through:
・Further expansion of animal hospitals domestically and internationally
・Strengthening educational programs
・Building a global veterinary network

We will realize a world where it's not just "veterinarians can do this much," but "anyone can do this much."

**Finally**
Dreams alone are meaningless. They only become reality through action.

The modern era is said to be uncertain, but we believe there is reproducibility within it.
Approaching each day positively, with gratitude, and accumulating small actions.
Each of these may seem small, but they will eventually create significant changes.

Having the courage to speak up.
Taking a step into a new environment.
Engaging in dialogue with people of different values.

The accumulation of such small actions changes life and changes how one sees the world.
And this is not something given only to special people; it is an accumulation of actions that anyone can reproduce.

We will continue to demonstrate these possibilities, going beyond the framework of veterinary medicine.

The accumulation of small actions changes life and the world.
Bringing Japanese veterinary medicine, refined in Japan, to the world.
And delivering the courage to act to everyone.
