This was the third drone show at the Yokohama Port Opening Festival, and the first in two years. Many visitors enjoyed the special performances that colored the night sky of Yokohama.

Theme: "Flying Aquarium" – 1,000 Drones Illuminate the Night Sky

The drone show featured 1,000 drones with a program themed "Flying Aquarium." After the event title was drawn across the sky, marine creatures such as jellyfish, turtles, and rays gracefully swam across the Yokohama night sky. Penguins that appeared to fly also delighted the audience.

Next, the official mascot character "Tunk Tunk" of the 2027 International Horticultural Exposition (to be held in Yokohama from March 19 to September 26, 2027) appeared in the sky, drawing attention from many visitors.

Day 1 Exclusive Surprise: Collaboration with Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel on the Highway

On Monday, June 1, the drone show ended with a surprise performance featuring animation from the currently screening movie "Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel on the Highway." This special performance was made possible because the movie is set in the Yokohama area, and the venue erupted with excitement as many visitors looked up at the sky.

Day 2: Special Program Expressing the World of Toy Story 5

On Tuesday, June 2, with the cooperation of JCB Co., Ltd., which handles the tie-up promotion for Toy Story 5, a special program opened the show, depicting the world of Disney and Pixar's latest film, "Toy Story 5," set for theatrical release on Friday, July 3, 2026. Familiar characters Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, as well as the new character Lily Pad, appeared in the sky, thrilling the audience with dynamic drone animations. The finale featured the JCB logo.

Audience Reactions: Cheers and Amazement

Throughout the show, visitors stopped to gaze at the drone animations projected in the night sky. When characters appeared, the crowd shouted their names; when marine creatures swam across the sky, exclamations of "Cute!" were heard, creating a unified atmosphere of enjoyment. Many visitors recorded every moment with their smartphones and cameras.
