The Japan Recovery Association (Representative Director: Hideki Katano) is pleased to announce the launch of the newly developed 'Fatigue Recovery Advisor (Restorer Level 3)' course, supervised and certified by the Association, in collaboration with U-CAN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Taiichi Shina), a leading provider of correspondence education.
Background: The Need for 'Recovery Literacy' in Modern Society
In today's society, many people continue to struggle with daily fatigue and stress. Chronic fatigue accumulation not only reduces personal performance but also increases the risk of physical and mental health issues and serious illnesses. The Association has long advocated for 'Recovery Science'—a scientific, multidisciplinary approach to rest that goes beyond simply 'resting the body,' incorporating diet, sleep, exercise, environment, and psychology. Developing 'recovery literacy'—the ability to objectively assess one's condition and implement appropriate recovery practices—is crucial for leading a vibrant life and improving quality of life (QOL). To make this knowledge more accessible and systematically available to a wider audience, we have jointly developed this 3-month correspondence course with U-CAN, a trusted name in distance education.
Course Features: Unique Advantages of Japan Recovery Association Supervision
(1) Supervised by Association President Hideki Katano—A practical curriculum you can apply from day one
Hideki Katano, a leading researcher in recovery and fatigue science in Japan, supervises the course. To ensure accessibility for beginners, the program includes full-color textbooks rich with illustrations and charts, as well as video materials that visually teach key concepts and stretching techniques.
(2) Introduction of the 'Fatigue Level Assessment Service' for objective self-evaluation
An online 'Fatigue Level Assessment Service (50 questions)' is available throughout the course period, unlimited times. This service objectively visualizes each participant’s fatigue tendencies and current condition, providing personalized advice based on overall fatigue levels to support more effective recovery actions.
(3) Obtain the 'Restorer Level 3' certification through at-home examination
Upon successfully completing the final assignment (certification exam), participants will be awarded the 'Restorer Level 3' certification, officially recognized by the Association. This certification serves as proof of acquired knowledge, boosting confidence in personal health management and enabling application in caring for family and others, as well as in medical, caregiving, and sports settings.
