Rebase Joins MLIT's 'Dual-Residence Leading Project'

Rebase Inc. has joined the 'Kawajima Town Dual-Residence Promotion Consortium' to conduct research and pilot projects for dual-residence initiatives. This consortium is led by Resona Group's Regional Design Lab Saitama, in collaboration with Kawajima Town, Saitama Prefecture, Persol Tempstaff Co., Ltd., and Persol Business Process Design Co., Ltd. This initiative has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's 'Dual-Residence Leading Project Implementation Program.' In recent years, interest in 'dual-residence' living has grown due to the spread of telework and diverse work styles. However, idle assets like vacant houses and corporate dormitories are underutilized, and there are few places where dual-residents can easily stay and connect with locals. This project aims to build a model that integrates 'work,' 'housing,' and 'public-private partnership' while capturing the needs of potential residents. Rebase will leverage its expertise in operating 'instabase' to renovate and utilize idle assets such as vacant houses, corporate dormitories, and public housing as spaces where dual-residents can stay, work, and engage in side jobs.
