(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yudai Konishi; hereinafter "RE100 Denryoku") announces that it has signed an aggregation service agreement with Yamaguchi Jumiki Sales Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kudamatsu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture; President: Kazumi Kohama; hereinafter "Yamaguchi Jumiki") regarding grid-scale battery storage equipment.
Under this agreement, RE100 Denryoku will act as an aggregator, managing market operations and developing and executing operational strategies for the grid-scale battery projects promoted by Yamaguchi Jumiki. By maximizing the value of the battery storage assets, the company aims to enhance business profitability while simultaneously contributing to the stability of the entire power system.
As the power market environment undergoes significant changes, grid-scale battery storage is expected to serve as vital infrastructure supporting the transition of renewable energy into a primary power source. Leveraging its expertise in power trading and supply-demand operations, RE100 Denryoku will support efficient battery asset utilization, thereby contributing to a decarbonized society and the development of the energy market.
Yamaguchi Jumiki provides sales and services for industrial machinery and equipment, based in Yamaguchi Prefecture. As a long-standing partner supporting regional industrial development, it has provided various equipment installations and maintenance services.
