Luxus Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Kita Ward / President and CEO: Shojiro Fukushige, hereinafter "the Company"), which provides the Australia study abroad support service "Mirai Bridge," surveyed 1,117 parents with children who are students, regarding their willingness to support their children's overseas experience at a young age and their desire to study abroad. Furthermore, a survey was conducted among 300 parents who are positive about their children studying abroad, focusing on their expectations for overseas study and concerns about costs.

Survey Background

In recent years, some parents are showing interest in improving language skills and gaining overseas living experience when considering their children's future career paths and options. On the other hand, overseas study involves costs, and even if parents are positive about it, they may feel concerned about the financial aspect when actually considering it.

Therefore, Mirai Bridge surveyed parents with children who are students about their willingness to support their children's overseas experience at a young age and their desire to study abroad. Additionally, for parents who are positive about their children studying abroad, we investigated how they perceive overseas study as an "investment in the future" and to what extent they are concerned about costs.

Survey Summary

- 68.1% of parents with children who are students are positive about their children gaining overseas experience at a young age. - If their child wishes to study abroad, 61.1% of parents responded that they "want to support them." - 81.0% of parents who are positive about their children studying abroad believe overseas study is valuable as an "investment in the future." - The most common expectation for overseas study is "improvement of language skills" at 64.0%. In this screening survey, when parents were asked about "their children gaining overseas experience at a young age," 33.03% responded "I think it's very good," and 35.09% responded "I tend to think it's good," totaling 68.1% who view it positively.

On the other hand, 23.01% responded "I can't say either way," 4.21% responded "I don't think it's very good," and 4.66% responded "I don't think it's good at all." On the other hand, 10.67% responded "I can't say either way," 3.33% responded "I don't really agree," and 5.0% responded "I don't agree at all." When asked about concerns regarding the costs of overseas study for children, 35.0% responded "I am very concerned," and 38.0% responded "I am somewhat concerned," totaling 73.0% who expressed concerns about the costs.

On the other hand, 17.0% responded "I can't say either way," 6.33% responded "I am not very concerned," and 3.67% responded "I am not concerned at all." This indicates that even among parents who are positive about their children studying abroad, many consider the costs carefully.

The coexistence of expectations for study abroad and concerns about costs is the mindset of parents revealed by this survey.
