Quantum Mesh Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroyuki Shinohara; hereinafter "Quantum Mesh") will begin offering "KAMUI γ (Kamui Gamma)", a new model in its independently developed immersion cooling rack "KAMUI" series. This product is an integrated model that incorporates the chiller necessary for cooling into the main unit, and is envisioned for use as a micro data center that completes the computing infrastructure in an installation area of less than 1 square meter. The development and provision of an integrated immersion cooling rack with a built-in chiller is an industry first, both domestically and internationally (according to our company's research).
The actual unit of "KAMUI γ" will be unveiled for the first time at "Data Center EXPO [Spring]" (within Japan IT Week), which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, April 8 to Friday, April 10, 2026.
Background to the Development of the New Model "KAMUI γ" With the widespread adoption of generative AI and high-performance computing (HPC), the increasing power consumption and heat generation in data centers have become major challenges. While conventional air-cooling methods have limitations in achieving high density, interest in immersion cooling as a more efficient cooling technology is growing. Furthermore, with the real-time processing of AI and the increase in data volume, the importance of distributed infrastructure that balances low-latency processing (reduced latency) and power efficiency is increasing, leading to an expansion in demand for micro data centers. On the other hand, immersion cooling systems often require external chillers and cooling equipment, and restrictions on installation locations and infrastructure conditions have been a hurdle to adoption. To address these challenges, Quantum Mesh developed "KAMUI γ" as a more flexibly deployable immersion cooling solution, aiming to realize micro data centers that can build high-performance computing environments regardless of location.
Features of "KAMUI γ" "KAMUI γ" is the latest model in the "KAMUI" series, which Quantum Mesh began offering in March 2025 as Japan's first commercial immersion cooling system. It is an all-in-one immersion cooling rack with integrated cooling equipment within the rack, suitable for installation in small data centers, offices, and factories. In addition to heat exchangers and pumps, it also includes a chiller, which is usually installed as external equipment, within the rack, enabling installation and operation independent of external cooling equipment. This allows for the distributed deployment of high-density computing environments, which previously required dedicated facilities, as micro data centers located in urban areas or close to bases.
* All-in-one design Requires no external cooling equipment whatsoever, with the chiller, heat exchanger, pump, and PDU all integrated within the rack. It can operate independently anywhere, as long as there is power. * High density, space-saving 8U (immersion) + 2U (air-cooled) configuration, capable of accommodating servers with a maximum depth of 950mm. * Excellent portability and quietness Supports replacement from existing air-cooled racks, as well as new installations and expansions of distributed edge data centers.
Through "KAMUI γ", Quantum Mesh will promote the provision of high-density, high-efficiency computing infrastructure required in the AI era, and accelerate the spread of distributed infrastructure through the deployment of micro data centers.
Furthermore, at the Data Center EXPO held from April 8, 2026, the actual product will be exhibited, and the possibilities of next-generation infrastructure and micro data centers through immersion cooling will be widely disseminated.

About Quantum Mesh Inc. Quantum Mesh Inc. develops and operates portable data centers responsible for the secure protection and processing of information. It provides an environment where large amounts of circulating information assets are protected with world-class advanced security and can be effectively utilized with high computational power. Furthermore, it proposes future city development through AI and IoT originating from data centers, aiming to achieve "correct DX."
About KAMUI "KAMUI" is a closed-loop single-phase immersion cooling system independently developed by Quantum Mesh. It works by immersing the server itself in a cooling liquid to efficiently absorb the heat generated by the server. In this immersion cooling system, servers are cooled by exchanging heat between groundwater, which maintains a stable temperature of 14-18°C throughout the year, and the cooling liquid warmed by the server's heat generation. The power required for this cooling is reduced to less than 1/10 compared to conventional air conditioning cooling methods, achieving world-class efficiency with a PUE of 1.03-1.04 for the entire data center. The "KAMUI" series includes three lineups: "KAMUI β", a model specialized for large-scale operations enabling the aforementioned high-efficiency cooling, and "KAMUI α" and "KAMUI γ", specialized for small-scale deployment.
