Quanmatic and Waseda University Launch 2026 Summer Term for Quantum Talent Development Program 'TAQUMI'

Quanmatic Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter 'Quanmatic') and Waseda University (Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Aiji Tanaka, hereinafter 'Waseda University'), in cooperation with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (hereinafter 'NEDO'), have officially opened applications for the 2026 summer term of 'TAQUMI,' an advanced quantum talent development program designed for systematically learning quantum computing technology and application implementation.

This program is part of NEDO's 'Research and Development Project for Strengthening the Infrastructure for Post-5G Information and Communication Systems,' aiming to cultivate personnel with practical skill sets capable of implementing quantum technology in society. The program will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining expert-led online lectures, online coding exercises, and an on-site hackathon.

■ Background and Purpose
Quantum computing is gaining significant expectations for industrial applications in fields such as optimization, simulation, and data utilization. However, to advance social implementation, human resources are essential not only to understand the theory but also to apply it to real-world problem solving through cloud environments and application development. 'TAQUMI' supports the development of such industry-ready talent by offering a comprehensive program that covers everything from quantum computing technologies to cloud-based application development.

This program covers optimization technology using quantum computing, mathematical optimization, quantum algorithms, web application development, and cloud application construction.
