## ■ What is Aichi Prefectural University Corporation?
Aichi Prefectural University Corporation operates two public universities in Aichi Prefecture: Aichi Prefectural University and Aichi University of the Arts.
One of the major characteristics of this corporation is operating two universities in different fields: humanities, social sciences, and information technology, and the arts.

## ■ Operational Strategy Leveraging the Strengths of Aichi Prefectural University Corporation
In recent years, the environment surrounding universities has been undergoing a major transformation due to factors such as a declining birthrate and changes in social structure.
In such a climate, it is increasingly important for each university to clearly define its strengths and continuously be chosen by society.
Our corporation positions "Two-University Collaboration" as a key initiative. By fostering mutual cooperation between the two universities, transcending the boundaries of academics and arts, we will further enhance educational research and community contribution activities, including developing unique liberal arts education that fuses humanities, sciences, and arts.

## ■ Two-University Collaboration: Past Initiatives
### Creation of the "Aichi Prefectural University Corporation: Prefectural University & University of the Arts Project" Logo
To further promote the two-university collaboration project, Professor Naoki Sato of Aichi University of the Arts was commissioned to create a logo for the "Aichi Prefectural University Corporation: Prefectural University & University of the Arts Project," which can be used on flyers, posters, and other materials as a symbol. This logo, which has the "Ai" (meaning love/Aichi) of Aichi Prefecture hidden within a peace sign, also embodies the meaning of the two universities being "equal partners" and "mutually supportive." This logo is also used in the main image of this press release.

### Implementation of the Aichi Prefectural University Art Campus Project
This project involved exhibiting art pieces created by students of Aichi University of the Arts at Aichi Prefectural University.
Beyond simply displaying the works, the project provided opportunities for students of Aichi Prefectural University to participate in the creation process, fostering interaction among students while exposing them to art.

### Hosting "Collaboration Lectures" as a Two-University Collaboration Project
* **Collaboration lectures between Professor Masumi Miyazaki's seminar at Aichi Prefectural University and Professor Naoki Sato's seminar at Aichi University of the Arts.**
Lectures inviting active editors and book designers were jointly held by the two seminars, facilitating exchanges of opinions not only among faculty but also among students.
Additionally, presentations by Aichi University of the Arts students, who were the creators, and discussions surrounding them were held in preparation for their graduation exhibition.

* **Two-University Collaboration Innovation Tour: Workshops and bus tours were conducted for students of Aichi Prefectural University and Aichi University of the Arts.**
Workshops were held within the "Prefectural University Essential" course offered at Aichi Prefectural University, where students engaged in group work using entrepreneurship worksheets.
Furthermore, students from Aichi Prefectural University and Aichi University of the Arts took the same bus to visit the "Soichiro Honda Manufacturing Museum" and "Yamaha Innovation Road," fostering interaction while experiencing the history of innovation.

Aichi Prefectural University is celebrating its 80th anniversary, and Aichi University of the Arts its 60th anniversary.
These 80-year and 60-year milestones are important opportunities to reflect on the past and chart a course for the future.
Our mission is to build upon the history and traditions we have cultivated, flexibly adapt to changing times, and continue to nurture individuals who can thrive locally and globally.
We aim for both universities to enhance their respective unique characteristics, contribute to the local community, and continue to develop as even more attractive places for learning and creation.

In April 2009, Aichi Prefectural University and Aichi Prefectural College of Nursing & Health were integrated, and the corporation currently operates two universities.
