EiKei University (President: Mutsuhiro Arishin, Location: Naka-ku, Hiroshima City), through its Center for Industry-Academia Collaboration and Research Promotion, has created the Etto OluOlu CHAOS MAP for STARTUP. This map aims to make it easier for individuals engaged in creating new value in Hiroshima to identify regional support organizations and services, and to find points of contact and collaboration. The map was produced by the Center in collaboration with students.
Etto OluOlu is a name combining the Hiroshima dialect words "etto" (meaning "many") and "oru" (meaning "to be/exist"). Hiroshima has many people who support new challenges. We created this chaos map with the hope that the strength of these people will effectively reach those who are trying to take on new challenges.
This map aims to connect everyone challenging the creation of new value in Hiroshima, including not only startups but also corporate new business managers and those working on internal ventures, with supporters in Hiroshima. The map organizes diverse support areas such as startup and business consultation, incubation, fundraising, grants and subsidies, marketing and PR, market expansion and overseas development, demonstration experiments/PoC, consortia, inter-company collaboration, and communities.
In new business and business development, the support needed changes depending on the phase, including idea brainstorming, business development support, fundraising, demonstration experiments, and network building. On the other hand, it is not always easy to grasp at once "where to consult" or "what kind of support organizations exist" within Hiroshima. This map aims to make the support players and services in the region more visible and serve as an entry point for thinking about the next step.
First, please take a look at the entire map and search for support providers that align with your theme or business phase. We hope you will use it as a map to take one step closer to the destination your ideas and business aim for.
The map was produced by the EiKei University Center for Industry-Academia Collaboration and Research Promotion, with cooperation from Hiroshima Innovation Base. The main map can be viewed below.
