About the "Stars on Earth" Project
The "Stars on Earth" Project is a collaborative initiative launched by PR TIMES as a corporate partner to support ALE Inc.'s world-first demonstration project for artificial shooting stars, "Starlight Challenge," from the ground. Based on the idea that there are companies on Earth that shine brightly carrying people's wishes, the project aims to display the philosophies of participating companies on vision screens and create opportunities for visitors to develop new wishes for companies. PR TIMES will continue its support activities through 2026 and 2027, leading up to the artificial shooting star mission in 2028. This event is the first phase.
About "Starlight Challenge"
The world's first demonstration project for artificial shooting stars, "Starlight Challenge," is a "world-first" initiative by ALE Inc. to demonstrate a show of artificial shooting stars flowing in the night sky by releasing specially developed metal spheres, which serve as shooting star sources, from an artificial satellite launched into Earth orbit at an altitude of approximately 400 km. With a design that has overcome challenges, the third mission for artificial shooting stars is scheduled for fiscal year 2028, and PR TIMES serves as its corporate partner.
Artificial shooting stars are generated in the mesosphere at an altitude of approximately 60-80 km by launching meteoroid sources from an artificial satellite in orbit at an altitude of approximately 400 km, with precise control over their position, direction, and velocity. Each particle is expected to be visible within a range of approximately 200 km and flows more slowly than natural shooting stars. The meteoroid sources are harmless substances confirmed to have no impact on terrestrial or space environments, and they completely burn up at an altitude of approximately 60-80 km, posing no risk of becoming space debris or falling to the ground. The project also complies with safety standards set by organizations such as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

Collaboration with Tokyo Skytree's "W1SH RIBBON"
In cooperation with PR TIMES, a corporate partner of "Starlight Challenge," Tokyo Skytree is collaborating with the "W1SH RIBBON" initiative installed on Tenbo Deck Floor 350. Visitors can submit their written wishes via a QR code to a form, and these wishes will be sent to space along with the rocket for the artificial shooting star mission planned in three years. Many people are participating in this experience of having their wishes, written in a place close to the stars, sent even closer to the stars.
