PR TIMES Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takumi Yamaguchi; TSE Prime/NSE Premier: 3922) announced on Friday, May 1, 2026, that "Jooto," a task and project management tool operated by the company, has released the "Jooto Report - User Trends of Task and Project Management Tools," which analyzes user utilization trends. "Jooto" is a task and project management tool that surpassed 500,000 cumulative registered users on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This report analyzes the changes in working styles in society based on how 500,000 (*1) users utilize "Jooto."

(*1) This survey is based on user behavior data from March 1 to 31 (one month) of each year from 2022 to 2026, starting from April 1, 2026, when the total number of users exceeded 500,000. For industry and job categories, the data is based on data from March 1 to 31 (one month) of each year from 2024 to 2026. The number of users in the survey is calculated as the number of active users who accessed Jooto during the one-month period from March 1 to 31 of each year.

Furthermore, a revision of the pricing plan (change in the free tier for 4 or fewer members) was implemented in August 2024, which has affected the trends in registered users and organizations.

Report Summary
・Trends in the number of users and organizations: From individual task management to team project management
・Trends in the number of users by job type: Project management becoming a common skill for business professionals
・Trends in the number of users and tasks by industry: Significant increase in usage as part of DX in manufacturing and construction industries

From individual task management to team project management

Comparing the number of active users who accessed "Jooto" during the one-month period from March 1 to 31 of each year from 2022 to 2026, the number of users per organization increased by approximately 1.5 times, from 1.99 people in 2022 to 3.06 people in 2026. After the COVID-19 pandemic, with the spread of remote work and hybrid work, information that was naturally shared when people were in the same place became harder to see with the same working style as before. As a combination of office work and remote work became commonplace, the need for a mechanism to "asynchronously share digitally what was confirmed verbally in person" has increased, which is also reflected in the trend of Jooto users.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Telework Population Survey" (Reiwa 6th year, March 2025), the proportion of employed teleworkers reached 24.6% nationwide, indicating that "hybrid work is becoming established." Along with these changes in working styles, there has been a shift in how tools are used, from individual task management to tools for managing project progress within teams.

Project management is becoming a common skill for business professionals, moving away from being an IT specialized skill.

In terms of user numbers by job type (2024-2026), executives were consistently at the top for three consecutive years (2026: 2,508 people). As expected for traditional task and project management tool users, IT specialists in development (2nd place) and information systems (4th place) accounted for a certain proportion of usage. On the other hand, non-IT job categories such as human resources/labor and sales are steadily increasing their share. This suggests that project management is becoming a common skill for business professionals, moving away from being an IT specialized skill.

The proportion of information system professionals has gradually decreased from 12.0% in 2024 to 10.3% in 2026. This is a result of the diminishing relative presence of the information systems department, which was the driving force behind tool adoption. In other words, it can be interpreted as Jooto transitioning from a "tool introduced by the management department" to a "tool used by everyone." Meanwhile, the management layer has remained stable at approximately 26% throughout the three years, and the absolute number has increased in proportion to the overall expansion of users in the organization. This indicates that Jooto has become established among management as a project promotion tool for teams and organizations, not just for individual task management.

Significant increase in manufacturing, construction, and real estate industries due to DX initiatives

We analyzed industry-specific usage trends from 2024 to 2026 (*2). In the manufacturing, construction, and real estate industries, the number of users has particularly increased over the past three years. It is presumed that the introduction of task and project management tools has progressed as part of DX initiatives due to labor shortages and work style reforms.

Furthermore, the increase in the medical and nursing care industries from 2024 to 2025 is thought to be influenced by the newly established "Medical DX Promotion System Development Addition" in 2024. Although there was a temporary increase, there were challenges in retention, and a downward trend was observed in 2026.

(*2) Industry and job categories were changed in March 2023. Data from March 2024 onwards, after the change, has been aggregated.
