The model introduced this time is the Cartier Tank Ref.20611, which incorporates genuine natural wood into its design.

It is an extremely original piece in Cartier's history, combining a case with 20-micron 18K gold electroplating with a natural wood middle case and dial.

Although it was a bold attempt even at the time, no Tank models using wood have been manufactured since this model, making it the first and last of its kind in Cartier's history.

The middle case, carved from natural wood, with a unique wood grain for each piece, tells the individuality of this Tank.

The case and dial use natural wood, taking advantage of the beautiful wood grain. The wood grain, which shows a different expression for each piece, gives it a warmth and individuality not found in industrial products.

The Cartier logo and Roman numeral indices are three-dimensional applied specifications. Furthermore, the bomb-shaped cabochon crown, unique to older models, further enhances its classical and elegant appearance.

It is said to be a rare reference, with only about 3,000 units produced in total, and was sold only at boutiques in Paris, London, and New York at the time.

In contrast to the gorgeous natural wood design, it houses the robust and practical ETA Cal.2512 movement inside.

While many Tanks from the 1970s used quartz movements, this particular piece is hand-wound.

It is equipped with the ETA Cal.2512, a renowned Swiss movement manufacturer. This hand-wound caliber, boasting 18,000 vibrations per hour, is a reliable masterpiece that Cartier has used in many models, including the Tank.

It features gold chaton settings for the balance jewel to enhance shock resistance, and an Incabloc shock absorption system to handle impacts from vertical and horizontal directions.

In contrast to its glamorous exterior, its interior embodies a solid design philosophy that emphasizes practicality and durability.

A historical Tank, born from one of Cartier's boldest challenges, created with the unique material of natural wood, a hand-wound movement, and manufactured only in 1975.
