The ultimate OCC dial exists here.

PRINCIPE PRIVE - Epoca d’Oro, which selects vintage watches from the 1940s to the 1990s with its unique aesthetic sense and has earned high praise from domestic and international watch collectors and fashionistas, has received a ROLEX GMT-Master Ref.1675 "OCC TROPICAL DIAL".

The GMT-Master was born in 1954. The first generation Ref.6542 was a model developed at the request of Pan American World Airways for pilots flying around the world, equipped with a 24-hour display mechanism.

Following the Submariner for "sea" and the Explorer for "land," Rolex completed the GMT-Master as a professional model responsible for "air."

The early model GMT Master Ref.6542 was equipped with Cal.1036, which later evolved into Cal.1065.

In 1959, its successor, Ref.1675, was born. Equipped with Cal.1565, which received chronometer certification, it improved waterproofness and durability, achieving further perfection as a practical watch.

Ref.1675 is broadly classified by its dial specifications. Early models featured a glossy gilt dial with a chapter ring on the outer edge of the dial (Mark 0 to Mark 3). Around 1963, it transitioned to a gilt dial without a chapter ring. Subsequently, from around 1966, it became a matte dial, with variations from Mark 1 to Mark 7 being confirmed.

An early design with extremely limited current numbers.

Among these, the Mark 0, known as the "OCC dial," boasts overwhelming rarity.

The dial only bears the notation "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER," differing from the later "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" and featuring a design unique to the early period.

The manufacturing period was extremely short, and as it is a specification confirmed only in the early Ref.1675, the number of existing pieces on the market is very small.

This particular piece features a beautifully tropicalized gloss dial with small luminous hour markers. The 24-hour hand has the early characteristic length, slightly exceeding the chapter ring, and the movement is equipped with Cal.1565, known by the nickname "butterfly rotor."

The gentle beat of the low-beat movement, vibrating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, allows you to fully savor the charm unique to vintage Rolex.

The history of Ref.1675 began with this OCC dial.

The OCC dial, with its extremely limited existing numbers, shines brilliantly in the history of vintage Rolex as a symbol of the dawn of the GMT-Master era.
