Kikusuitei Chinese Cuisine Ryokan (located at 2942 Yamaguchi, Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture; General Manager: Manabu Takeiri) will co-host, in collaboration with Vixen Co., Ltd. (optical equipment manufacturer, headquartered in Higashitokorozawa, Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture), an expanded version of last year’s popular stargazing event. The 'Family Summer Stargazing Event' will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Designed as a hands-on experience to support children’s summer vacation learning and independent research projects, the event includes stargazing along with a DIY telescope kit. It is a family-friendly, day-trip accessible event suitable even for young children.

We offer a relaxing summer evening experience where families can enjoy dinner at the restaurant and then head out under the stars with their handmade telescopes. In addition to dinner-inclusive plans, we also offer packages combining stargazing with access to our large public bath, allowing guests to choose based on their preferred timing and style of relaxation. Despite being just about 50 minutes from central Tokyo, our location offers a natural environment where guests can enjoy a night under the stars tailored to their needs. In case of poor weather, the event will move indoors with alternative programming, ensuring a fun and educational experience regardless of conditions. Through interactive content such as stargazing lectures and quizzes, participants can take home knowledge about stars and space that can be used for school projects.
