West Atami Golf Course to Host Free Experience Event Featuring Golf, Fireworks Viewing, and Stargazing at Atami's Scenic Golf Course 【Event Date】 August 9, 2026 (Sun) 5:00 P.M. – 8:40 P.M.

West Atami Golf Course (located at 1800 Atami, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture; Manager: Hiroshi Hayashi) will host a free experiential event titled 'Family Lawn Enjoy Day' on Sunday, August 9, 2026, as part of its efforts to explore new ways of utilizing the golf course and contributing to the local community. The event aims to introduce children who have never played golf to the sport, while also offering nighttime activities such as viewing the Atami offshore fireworks display and stargazing.

Situated on a hilltop in Atami, West Atami Golf Course offers spectacular panoramic views of Atami city and Sagami Bay. This event will take place in the evening, when the golf course is normally closed, allowing families to participate comfortably without concerns about heatstroke during daytime summer hours.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the golf course overlooking Shojima and Oshima Islands, experience golf for free, join a stargazing session on the night course, and watch the fireworks festival.

3. Admission: Free

4. Program: Snag Golf experience, putting experience, stargazing lecture by a certified stargazing guide, stargazing session, and viewing of the offshore fireworks festival from the restaurant

※If the sky is cloudy and stargazing is not possible, a craft workshop for making telescopes will be held instead

5. Capacity: 50 children (up to 2 accompanying guardians per child)

※Children must be accompanied by a guardian; unaccompanied children will not be admitted

6. Registration: Please call to reserve a spot, stating that you are registering for 'Family Lawn Enjoy Day'

7. Schedule:

4:30 P.M. – Registration opens (final registration at 5:30 P.M.)

5:00 P.M. – Move to the course and enjoy Snag Golf and putting experiences

7:20 P.M. – Stargazing session (in case of cloud cover, an indoor craft workshop to build telescopes will be held)

8:20 P.M. – View the Atami offshore fireworks festival from the restaurant (no food or beverage service available)

8:40 P.M. – Event ends immediately after the fireworks display concludes

(1) Please wear comfortable athletic clothing suitable for physical activity.

(2) Pets are not permitted.

(3) Strollers are not allowed on the course.

(4) No food or drinks will be served at the restaurant. Guests may bring their own refreshments and consume them at restaurant tables or designated areas.
