Kamakura Prince Hotel Launches Second Edition of 'Enoden Cake' – A Summer-Only Design Inspired by the Scenic Shonan Coastline

Kamakura Prince Hotel (located at 1-2-18 Shichirigahamahigashi, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Manager: Akane Usui) will launch the second edition of its special collaboration cake, the 'Enoden Cake,' developed with Enoshima Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (located at 1-8-16 Katase Kaigan, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President & CEO: Satoshi Kuroda). The cake will be available from Wednesday, July 8, 2026, to Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (a national holiday).

Summer Enoden Cake Concept

The second edition captures the image of the Enoden train running along Shonan's summer coastline. Retaining the original mold shape based on an Enoden train model, the cake features vibrant mango and juicy melon, creating a refreshing summer design that evokes the sparkling sea under the sun and the cool ocean breeze. Following the first edition's 'hydrangea design,' this seasonal transformation allows guests to enjoy a different charm of the Enoden train with each visit. It's perfect as a travel souvenir or for special occasions such as birthdays and summer holidays.

This unique collaboration dessert offers an experience to 'see,' 'photograph,' and 'savor'—a treat exclusive to Kamakura.

This one-of-a-kind experience, limited to one group per day, features a 'Train View Room' with views of both the sea at Shichirigahama and the Enoden train. The room is decorated with original collaboration artwork, route map panels, Enoden cushions, and other elements that immerse guests in the world of the Enoden.

The original room key card and other original items can be used during the stay and taken home as souvenirs.

For over 30 years since its opening, Kamakura Prince Hotel has provided hospitality deeply rooted in the local community. Many guests arrive via the Enoden, and some guest rooms offer views of the train. In April 2026, on the occasion of the launch of Enoden's new 700 series train, both parties shared a vision of 'revitalizing the region together,' leading to the start of this collaboration project. The 'Enoden Cake,' modeled after an Enoden train, was the first collaboration product and will continue to offer seasonally changing flavors throughout the year. Additionally, the special accommodation plan 'Enoden Room,' which incorporates the Enoden's world, will be available until September 23, 2026 (Wed, Holiday).
