Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa (Location: 3-13-1 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Yoshihisa Takahashi) will offer the "Matcha and Berry Afternoon Tea," featuring matcha from the historic Kyoto tea house "Fukujuen" (founded in 1790), at "Lounge Momiji," a space that changes its expression with the shifting colors of the maple trees, from May 7 (Thu) to July 8 (Wed), 2026.

At our lounge, where you can enjoy the changing seasons while looking out at the lush greenery, we are presenting this year's highly anticipated afternoon tea—featuring the fragrant Uji matcha of Fukujuen—in an early summer style highlighted by the vibrancy of fresh berries.

The experience begins with a refreshing "Matcha and Strawberry Amuse-bouche" served with vanilla ice cream. We have prepared a selection of sweets where the deep flavor of matcha and the sweet-tartness of berries gently melt together, including an opera cake layered with rich matcha ganache and sweet-tart berry cream, a cookie choux filled with matcha custard and raspberry jam, and a matcha yokan shaped like a dango, accented with strawberries and raspberry cream. Furthermore, you can enjoy savory items made with fresh seasonal vegetables, featuring rich matcha scones and refreshing accents of plum and citrus.

Additionally, exclusively for this afternoon tea, Fukujuen's "Matcha-iri Sencha Ryokusen" will be available on the free-flow drink menu. Please enjoy an elegant early summer moment accompanied by these fragrant sweets.
