Water Play Area 'Mori no Seseragi' Opens June 12 (Fri) at Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park!

Beat the summer heat with water play at Takino!

Summer is just around the corner in Sapporo! At Takino Park, the water play area 'Mori no Seseragi' located in Kodomo no Tani (Central Zone) opened on June 12 (Fri).

Additionally, river and water play spots throughout the park—including the Atsubetsu River—are now open, drawing large crowds every summer, especially during school holidays.

About Mori no Seseragi

An oasis perfect for a child’s first water play experience!

With shallow water depth, even young children can play safely.

※Only bare feet allowed. (Water shoes or similar are not permitted.)

Location: Central Zone, inside Kodomo no Tani (Nearest parking: 10-minute walk from East Gate Parking)

Water depth: Approximately ankle-deep

Enjoy cool outdoor fun in Takino’s natural surroundings! Recommended river play spots!

Atsubetsu River

The 'Atsubetsu River' in the Stream Zone is the park’s largest water play area, and it’s conveniently close to the parking lot.

Near the cool river, there’s a cooking area where you can enjoy BBQs with family and friends.

Location: Stream Zone

(5-minute walk from Stream Gate Parking)

Water depth: Approximately knee-deep

Noogisawa River

For those who want a wilder river play experience, this spot is recommended!

Try searching for wildlife in the river flowing through the forest.

Location: Takino no Mori Zone, West Area

(10-minute walk from Takino no Mori Gate Parking)

Water depth: Approximately ankle-deep

Mori no Kyoshitsu (Forest Classroom)

Recommended for those who want to enjoy forest adventures to the fullest!

Play by the water and search for living creatures.

With a rest area, toilets, and foot-washing station right in front, you can play with peace of mind.

Location: Takino no Mori Zone, East Area

(15-minute walk from South Parking)

Water depth: Approximately ankle-deep

Takino Summer Kids Park

A free-play water activity park is being held!

Free loan toys such as water guns are provided, so kids can play all day long.

The daily program is a surprise—have fun under the summer sky!
