Haru no Takino (Spring in Takino) Colorful Spring in Takino - Takino Flower Relay Tulip & Suzuran Festa

Spring flower season arrives in Takino! Various events will be held to coincide with the blooming season of tulips, boasting the largest variety and number of bulbs in the Sapporo area, and suzuran (lily of the valley), which is the namesake of the park.

Tulip & Suzuran Festa

Current Tulips Photo taken on 2026.04.14 Some snow remains in parts of the Country Garden, but where the snow has melted, you can see tulip sprouts emerging. Approximately 120 varieties and 230,000 tulip bulbs can be enjoyed in the park. Last year, tulips began to bloom around May 13 and were in full bloom around May 19.

Shirane Aoi and Spring Wildflower Festival During the period, clusters of Shirane Aoi (Glaucidium palmatum) will be in full bloom in the Takino Forest Zone / Nature Museum. At the "Shirane Aoi no Kozuchi" (Shirane Aoi Path), about a 10-minute walk from the Forest Information Center, over 500 flowers can be seen annually, with about 1,500 flowers in the entire area. Enjoy a forest walk with small wildflowers at your feet.

Adventure Playground Kinotan no Mori Play park in Takino Forest! Volunteers supervise while visitors can search for creatures in the water and forest, play in the mud, and freely enjoy self-found activities.
