Past full bloom
Cherry blossoms have bloomed in various locations within Uminonakamichi Seaside Park (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture). They are expected to be in full bloom from late March to Sunday, April 5th. Approximately 1,600 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Oshima cherry varieties, are planted. Visitors can enjoy different views depending on the location, such as along the cycling course which forms a cherry blossom tunnel, or the flower hill where the cherry blossoms collaborate with the blue nemophila.
Furthermore, the Uminaka Sakura Festival will be held on Saturday, March 28th, and Sunday, March 29th. This event allows visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms with Japanese-themed performances, including kimono dressing, and mini-concerts featuring Japanese drums (wadaiko) and koto.
