Cherry Blossoms Blooming [Uminonakamichi Seaside Park]

Past full bloom scenery

Cherry blossoms have bloomed in various locations throughout Uminonakamichi Seaside Park (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture). They are expected to be in full bloom from late March to April 5th (Sunday). Approximately 1,600 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Oshima cherry varieties, are planted, allowing visitors to enjoy different views depending on the location, such as along the cycling course which becomes a cherry blossom tunnel, or on the flower hill where the cherry blossoms collaborate with the blue of nemophila.

Furthermore, the Uminaka Sakura Festival will be held on March 28th (Saturday) and 29th (Sunday). This event allows visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms with Japanese-themed performances, including kimono dressing, and mini-concerts featuring Japanese drums (wadaiko) and koto.
