Saitama Prefecture will honor businesses and business organizations demonstrating exemplary efforts in preventing customer harassment through the 'Saitama Customer Harassment Prevention and Safe Workplace Award.' The call for candidates will begin on Monday, July 13.
By widely publicizing awardees' initiatives through award ceremonies and the prefecture's portal site, Saitama aims to enhance recipients' public image and support talent acquisition, while promoting the spread of best practices to other businesses and organizations to prevent customer harassment across society.
The prefecture welcomes numerous applications.
Overview of the 'Saitama Customer Harassment Prevention and Safe Workplace Award'
The award aims to prevent customer harassment throughout society by recognizing Saitama-based businesses and business organizations actively working to create safe working environments where employees can work with peace of mind and ensuring stable business operations.
Eligibility
Businesses with offices (headquarters, branches, sales offices, etc.) in Saitama Prefecture, or business organizations with operational bases in the prefecture.
Applicants must have implemented or plan to implement the obligations outlined in the Saitama Prefecture Customer Harassment Prevention Ordinance (mandatory to have already created and publicly announced a basic policy).

July 13 (Monday), Reiwa 8 (2026) to October 30 (Friday), 2026

Selection Process
Finalists will be selected through document review by a selection committee composed of experts and other stakeholders.
Award Ceremony
Winners will be announced in January 2027 (Reiwa 9), with the award ceremony scheduled for late January. Awards, including certificates and prizes, will be presented by the Governor.
