[Saitama Prefecture] Recruitment for the Japanese Partners Saitama Recommendation Program Begins

Saitama Prefecture and the Japan Foundation have been conducting the Japanese Partners Saitama Recommendation Program since fiscal year 2016, based on a partnership agreement signed in 2015. The Japanese Partners program dispatches personnel of various generations to high schools and other institutions in Asian countries to serve as partners to local Japanese language teachers and students, providing classroom support and engaging in cultural exchange. This year, we are again setting aside a recommendation quota for Saitama Prefecture and are looking for individuals to serve as a bridge between the prefecture and Asia. The target countries for dispatch are Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. For those who wish to learn more about the program, an online briefing session will be held in early July. 1. Number of recruits and dispatch period: (1) Thailand: 3 people, May 2027 – February 2028; (2) Indonesia: 1 person, August 2027 – March 2028; (3) Vietnam: 1 person, August 2027 – June 2028. *Dispatch periods may change due to circumstances in the host country. 2. Main application requirements: (1) Must meet one of the following at the time of application: Resident of Saitama, working or studying in Saitama, or having specific parental or educational ties to Saitama. (2) Must be within specific birth date ranges for each country. (3) Must possess a certain level of English proficiency. 3. Application period: June 1 (Mon) – July 31 (Fri), 2026. 4.
