[Saitama Prefecture] 'Management Supporters' Begin Operations!

Saitama Prefecture has announced that it has deployed 'Management Supporters,' who are certified SME management consultants, to eight locations within the prefecture, and began consultation and support activities on March 31, Reiwa 8 (2026).

'Management Supporters' aim to help all small and medium-sized businesses in the prefecture secure appropriate profits. They will match businesses with various support measures based on their management challenges and provide free, hands-on support in collaboration with local Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Due to the situation in Iran, there are concerns about soaring prices, including energy costs, and supply chain disruptions. Furthermore, local businesses are facing a harsh environment, including the need to respond to the weak yen and labor shortages. By providing intensive, business-oriented support, the prefecture aims to ensure appropriate profits, lead to wage increases, and achieve sustainable economic development for the prefecture.

1. Overview of Management Supporters (1) Eligible applicants: All SMEs and small businesses in the prefecture (including non-members of Chambers of Commerce). (2) Activities: 1. Guide businesses to various support measures provided by the prefecture. 2. Propose and match appropriate support measures based on requests. 3. Provide free, hands-on support to ensure appropriate profits and improve the environment for wage increases. *Note: Supporters may contact businesses directly to offer support. (3) Examples of issues: Wage increases, DX/productivity improvement, new business development, labor shortages, financial planning, and price pass-through. (4) Cost: Free. (5) Support period: March 31, 2026 to late March 2027. (Support will continue via management instructors at Chambers of Commerce after this period.)
