POSTAS Co., Ltd. Operations have already commenced at 3 stores as of June 2026, with full deployment across all 158 stores planned around July 2026.

Background
Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us had been considering a transition to a tablet POS (mobile POS) system to reduce space and improve operational efficiency, prompted by the renewal of the maintenance contract for their long-standing POS system. The company required a solution that could meet complex operational demands unique to large-scale retailers, such as managing over 300,000 products, supporting diverse sales formats including bundle sales, and integrating with their core systems and proprietary point program. After comparing multiple vendors, "POS+" was selected as the only cloud-based mobile POS system capable of meeting these requirements, including through custom development.
With the introduction of "POS+", the company will not only benefit from the space-saving advantages and faster transaction processing inherent to mobile POS systems, but also achieve significant efficiency improvements in returns processing, which was previously very time-consuming due to complex sales formats. Furthermore, by integrating QR code payments directly into the POS, payment processing fees will be reduced. As a cloud-based system, it also allows for immediate adaptation to legal changes, such as consumption tax reductions, through app updates.
POSTAS will continue to support the improvement of operational efficiency and productivity for service providers by offering "POS+", a cloud-based mobile POS system designed to address the operational challenges of stores of all sizes and formats, from large chains to individual shops.
