This time, Yayoiken will launch the summer-limited menu, "Miyazaki Hiyajiru and Chicken Nanban Set Meal" for 1,150 yen, starting Tuesday, June 16. The "Miyazaki Hiyajiru," which has been well-received every year as a refreshing meal even during the intense heat, returns this year. This set meal, perfect for summer, combines Miyazaki Prefecture's beloved local dish "Hiyajiru" with juicy Chicken Nanban. By enjoying the Hiyajiru, with its rich dashi broth flavor, alongside the Chicken Nanban finished with sweet vinegar and tartar sauce, customers across Japan can experience the food culture of Miyazaki.

■ The "Miyazaki Hiyajiru" with Rich Dashi Flavor and Juicy Chicken Nanban

"Hiyajiru," a local dish from Miyazaki Prefecture, is a summer staple that can be eaten lightly even on hot days. Yayoiken's Hiyajiru combines dashi from dried sardines, bonito flakes, and kelp, resulting in a flavor where the umami of the broth is distinctly felt. Furthermore, tofu and cucumber are added, allowing customers to enjoy an authentic Hiyajiru.

By crumbling the fragrant grilled salted mackerel served on a separate plate and adding it to the Hiyajiru along with rice, the umami of the fish spreads, creating a deeper flavor. Since it is eaten cold and lightly, it is also recommended for the hot season when appetite tends to decrease. In addition to ordering Hiyajiru as a single item, we also offer a "Miyazaki Hiyajiru Change" option, where you can replace the miso soup in your set meal with Hiyajiru for an additional 190 yen.

The main dish of the set meal is Chicken Nanban, finished with sweet vinegar and tartar sauce. The juicy chicken and rich flavor pair perfectly with the refreshing Hiyajiru. It's a taste that makes you want to eat more rice even on hot days.
