Next-Gen Open-World Monster Collection RPG 'Aniimo' Begins Closed Beta Test Today

Pawprint Studio, a Singapore-based global game development and publishing studio, is pleased to announce the launch of the Japanese Closed Beta Test (CBT) for its upcoming open-world monster collection RPG 'Aniimo', starting today, July 9, 2026.

Alongside the CBT launch, a new promotional video showcasing the game's highlights has also been released.

To coincide with the CBT launch, a new PV highlighting the charm of 'Aniimo' has been released.

The video is structured into three major segments:

The first segment introduces a lifestyle-oriented gameplay experience, blending base-building (home) elements with the debut scenes of new Aniimos.

The middle segment showcases the urban environment of the city 'Astra', highlighting shops, cityscapes, character outfits, and Aniimo customization options, emphasizing the breadth of urban life and personal expression.

The final segment transitions into emotional scenes from the expansive open world, concluding with dynamic traversal sequences that emphasize the game's vast scale and immersive atmosphere.

Closed Beta Test Begins Today

This CBT allows players to experience the early main story and vast field areas of 'Aniimo'.

The primary playable area extends up to the first region, 'Soyokaze Plains', where the story reaches a natural pause point following the arc centered on the legendary figure 'Iruuri'.

In terms of field content, in addition to the full Soyokaze Plains, players can also explore a portion of a new water-themed area—revealed for the first time in this CBT (※ Early access content available in this CBT).

Additionally, the following features are available in this CBT:

- Capture and bonding experience with over 100 Aniimos

- Boss battles

- Dungeon exploration content

- Battle challenges against random NPCs

- Character and Aniimo growth systems

- Base-building (home/housing) elements

- Multiplayer features (co-op and social gameplay)

The CBT offers a comprehensive foundational experience, allowing players to freely interact and explore within the expansive world of 'Aniimo'.
