Chiikawa's First Movie 'Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island' to be Featured in a Tie-Up Campaign at PARCO Stores Nationwide This Summer!

PARCO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will hold a tie-up campaign with the first Chiikawa movie, 'Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island,' scheduled for release on July 24 (Fri), at PARCO stores nationwide from July 17 (Fri) to August 2 (Sun).

The campaign will feature original visuals by art director Asuka Wakida, as well as various events including a special novelty gift for those who spend ¥5,500 or more (tax included) at PARCO stores nationwide, a gift campaign on X, and photo booths.

Customers who spend ¥5,500 or more (tax included) on the designated dates will receive an original pouch on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 70,000 nationwide. [PARCO Members Benefit]

Exchange Method & Precautions

[Clear Pouch Exchange Method] Please present the following two items to the exchange venue staff: 1 Exchange coupon distributed on the smartphone app "POCKET PARCO," 2 Receipt of ¥5,500 or more (tax included) spent within the venue during the exchange venue's business hours on the day of exchange (multiple shops within the venue can be combined).

[PARCO Members Benefit Exchange Method] When exchanging for the novelty item, please present the following item to the venue staff: 3 "PARCO Card payment slip" or "Pokeparu Payment transaction history" for purchases of ¥5,500 or more (tax included) made within the exchange venue's business hours on the day of exchange.

*Novelty items are limited to one per person per period.

*2 Receipts must be for purchases made "on the day of exchange" and "during the business hours of the exchange venue at each facility."

*Some shops are excluded. Additionally, some products may be excluded even at participating stores.

*Returns and exchanges of novelty items are not possible, except for defective products. *Exchange will end each day once the planned distribution quantity is reached.

Take a Photo with Chiikawa! Photo Booth

Special booths will be set up inside participating stores during the campaign period. You can take photos with Chiikawa and friends using props that appear in the movie.

Holding of 'Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island' Collaboration Cafe

To commemorate the movie's release, a collaboration cafe for 'Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island' will be held for a limited time at THE GUEST CAFE BY PARCO stores in Shibuya, Shinsaibashi, and Nagoya PARCO. The cafe's menu will be based on the movie's original story (Island Arc). We offer a menu that allows you to immerse yourself in the world of Chiikawa, including food inspired by meals appearing in the film, and desserts and drinks that recreate famous scenes.

Asuka Wakida

Graphic designer and art director. Born in 1993. After graduating from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts and completing her graduate studies, she worked at Kozfish before becoming independent. She strives to live a rich life while engaging in design for various cultures. Her past work includes fashion season visuals for PARCO, LUMINE, HARUTA, the Doraemon 50th Anniversary poster, bookbinding, and web design, as well as items related to paper and printing. She also produces and presents her own works such as art books and scarves.

Long-Awaited First Movie Adaptation! 'Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island'

"Chiikawa" started as a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) by illustrator Nagano. Since its serialization began in 2020, fans not only in Japan but around the world have been captivated by the fun, poignant, and slightly tough daily lives of unique characters such as Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi. The first movie adaptation of "Chiikawa" is set to be released on July 24. This film depicts the long story arc known as the "Seiren Arc," one of the most popular episodes that has trended on social media with each installment. Under the complete supervision of Nagano, the adventures of Chiikawa and friends are depicted with magnificent music and powerful visuals.
