Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Shoji Yamada, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka, hereinafter referred to as 'the Company') will renew and open the 'Public Pro Studio Tokyo' (Sumitomo Fudosan Shiodome Hamarikyu Building 22F, 8-21-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; advance reservation required) for public facilities on May 8, 2026.
■ Background
In approaching the public market, the Company has long evolved the technologies cultivated in housing equipment and building materials for public use, deploying products to penetrate markets such as welfare and medical care, education, offices, and commercial facilities.
In recent years, social issues surrounding the construction industry have become apparent. The grace period set by the revised Labor Standards Act enacted in April 2019 has ended, and a cap on overtime work was implemented in the construction industry starting in April 2024. The system of compensating for labor shortages with overtime work has reached its limit. Furthermore, buildings consume a large amount of energy during the material manufacturing, construction, and post-completion operational stages, making it an industry with high CO2 emissions. Therefore, as environmental considerations toward realizing a decarbonized society, the popularization and promotion of high environmental performance buildings such as energy-saving designs, introduction of renewable energy, ZEB, and ZEH are required. Additionally, responses to prepare for frequently occurring natural disasters are also necessary.
■ Overview
'Public Pro Studio Tokyo' opened on April 6, 2022, as the 'Life Care Housing Pro Studio' on the 3rd floor of the Company's Tokyo Shiodome Building as part of an effort to expand awareness of products for public use. To further strengthen product proposals, the facility was renamed 'Public Pro Studio' in March 2024 and has continued operations. Now, to solve the challenges faced by the construction industry, it will relocate and reopen as a solution-oriented proposal facility focusing on four themes: 'Construction Process Innovation,' 'Sustainable Architecture,' 'Resilience Functions,' and 'Well-being Space Design.' By proposing points that are difficult to convey through standalone products as an experiential space, the facility aims to improve its utility value so that it can be utilized not only by business owners, design firms, construction companies, and house makers but also by national and municipal officials.
Under the business slogan 'Creating the "Always" of Living. "Green Housing"', the Company will face changing values and social issues to create a sustainable and prosperous society.

1. Solution proposals focused on four themes addressing the challenges faced by the construction industry.
The Company proposes comprehensive solutions centered on four perspectives to address diverse challenges faced by the construction industry, such as the deepening labor shortage, response to decarbonization, preparation for natural disasters, and creating spaces that are easy for everyone to use. Starting with 'Construction Process Innovation,' which introduces products and services that contribute to shortening construction periods, functionality, and DX integration, the 'Sustainable Architecture' theme proposes a product lineup that considers sustainability and environmental symbiosis through support for wooden/wood-based materials, energy saving, renewable energy, and circular manufacturing by realizing carbon neutrality and utilizing eco/circular materials. Furthermore, as preparation for natural disasters, the Company develops proposals with an eye on ensuring safety and security and continuing functions during disasters, such as 'Enhancement of Resilience Functions' through seismic retrofitting of buildings and BCP measures. Also, as 'Well-being Space Design,' the Company introduces specific facility proposals for environments where everyone can spend time comfortably, such as universal designs assuming welfare facilities and spatial creations reflecting the image of accommodation facilities reminiscent of sophisticated hotel powder rooms.
2. An exhibition space where visitors can realistically experience the Company's technologies and product features.
Within this studio, technical exhibitions of the facility-use products proposed by the Company are carried out. It is possible to connect a drain pipe to the Arauno V pumping type and confirm its pumping capacity on the spot. Also, visitors can use a wheelchair to experience the cross-sectional structure that brings out the lightness of the non-combustible lightweight ceiling material 'Airilight' and the 0 mm step (3 mm height difference) in the bathroom of the 'Aqua Heart Series' unit bath for the elderly. Additionally, visitors can experience a weight comparison between the Arauno urinal and ceramic products, a shock-absorption comparison between the shock-absorbing floor 'Cloud Stage' and standard flooring, and even a sound insulation experience of the 'Simple Sound-Insulating Sliding Door' suitable for examination rooms in hospitals and clinics where sound insulation performance is required.
