Seikatsu Cooperative Pal System Gunma (Headquarters: Nakafukuma-machi, Takasaki City, Gunma; Chairperson: Makiko Ohira) signed a 'Cooperation Agreement on Promoting Child-Rearing Support' with Kusatsu Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma (Mayor: Kimio Miyazaki) on Thursday, June 4. Under the agreement, the cooperative will begin distributing 'Omedetobako'—a curated gift set of baby care products—to families who apply. This collaboration between local government and a consumer cooperative aims to create an inclusive environment where child-rearing support services are accessible to all residents.

The agreement was established to build a community where families can raise children with peace of mind. By utilizing Pal System’s locally embedded delivery network and its regular contact with parenting households, the initiative will effectively promote municipal child-rearing support policies. The signing ceremony was held at Kusatsu Town Hall, where Mayor Miyazaki and Chairperson Makiko Ohira reaffirmed their commitment to strengthened collaboration.

Under the agreement, Kusatsu Town will distribute informational leaflets about the 'Omedetobako'—a congratulatory gift set of baby care items—at events such as the 4-month infant health checkup. Upon application, Pal System will deliver the set free of charge via its home delivery service, including items such as baby wipes, baby soap, tuna flakes for weaning food, dashi packs, and recipe books.

Pal System will directly deliver the 'Omedetobako' on behalf of the town. During visits, delivery staff will also share information such as town-produced lists of parenting consultation services and support organizations, extending the initiative into a 'watchful care' activity that supports families facing parenting challenges. As a cooperative committed to supporting parenting households, Pal System will handle both product provision and delivery. This marks the 14th municipal partnership since the program’s launch in February 2026, expanding community-wide child-rearing support across the region.

Rich parenting information including recipes and expert columns

Pal System delivers weekly, allowing regular visits to the same neighborhoods in Kusatsu Town. Leveraging its close-knit local infrastructure, the cooperative shares information about original parenting-friendly products such as the 'yumyum series,' parenting events co-hosted with members, and its dedicated parenting website 'Kosodate 123.' It also provides guidance on consultation services, supporting families through diverse collaborative networks.

Moving forward, Seikatsu Cooperative Pal System Gunma will continue to actively disseminate parenting information as a cooperative, collaborating with local authorities and various stakeholders to build communities where every family can raise children with confidence.
