On Wednesday, April 1st, five organizations of the Pal System Group held a welcoming ceremony in Shinjuku, Tokyo. For the 2026 fiscal year, 31 individuals will begin their work as employees. Each new employee received their official appointment from their respective organization's representative.
### A Call for "Rich Sensibility and a Strong Heart"
The joint ceremony was held for Pal System Tokyo (7 new employees, HQ: Shinjuku, Chair: Yoko Nishimura), Pal System Kanagawa (7, HQ: Yokohama, Chair: Junko Fujita), Pal System Chiba (4, HQ: Funabashi, Chair: Yumiko Takahashi), Pal System Saitama (7, HQ: Warabi, Chair: Yoshiko Nishiuchi), and the Pal System Confederation (6, HQ: Shinjuku, Chair: Atsuyuki Shibuzawa). The new employees, excluding two who were absent due to circumstances, and executives from each organization attended.
Each new employee was presented with their letter of appointment by the senior managing director of their respective organization. In his congratulatory address, Atsuyuki Shibuzawa, Chairman of the Pal System Confederation, expressed his expectations, stating, "You have chosen a consumer co-operative, a workplace that connects people and moves communities. As you begin your work, there will inevitably be tough times. I hope you will cultivate a rich sensibility and a strong heart to overcome difficulties through your work."
In response, the employee representative who delivered the reply address shared their aspirations, saying, "Through the pre-employment get-togethers, I learned about Pal System's role in connecting producers, regions, and consumers. I feel a renewed sense of responsibility in becoming a member that plays such a significant role. All of us new employees will strive to become staff members who live up to the organization's philosophy."
Following the ceremony, the employees will undergo training before starting their work at their assigned workplaces.
