The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia and an Academy Award-qualifying festival, and DeCurret DCP Inc. (hereinafter "DeCurret DCP"), provider of the digital currency "DCJPY" network, are launching the call for entries and DAO participants for the "DCP Award," a new initiative aimed at supporting creators, starting today, Monday, March 30, 2026.

What is the "DCP Award"? This is an award where participants democratically and openly select winning works by utilizing a demonstration system for a value-circulating community (DAO) provided by DeCurret DCP. For the 2026 award, winners will be chosen through democratic voting by the creators who submit their works. The entries are open to "all Japanese works that have been submitted to SSFF & ASIA in the past." It is a "timeless revenge match" designed to put the spotlight back on works that were "too ahead of their time" or "narrowly missed selection" back then. We welcome submissions from the 2000s to the present, regardless of whether they were previously nominated or won any awards.

A "Value-Circulating Community" where contributions and passion are exchanged for rewards and status DeCurret DCP aims to create a "value-circulating community" where companies, regions, and people can connect more smoothly by utilizing the "DCJPY" digital currency based on blockchain technology. Through collaboration with Visualvoice Co., Ltd., we are working on demonstrations such as strengthening connections between creators to lead to new creative activities, having fans select and manage award programs, and co-creating works between creators and fans. We aim to realize a value-circulating community service where participants' contributions and passion for the community accumulate as their own status, and rewards are granted in the form of digital currency or special experiences. For the 2026 DCP Award, in addition to the democratic voting experience where applicants watch and vote on each other's works to determine the winners, we will visualize evaluations and feedback from other creators and create opportunities for connection through a Discord community.

Grand Prize: 500,000 JPY and selection as an official creative partner of DeCurret DCP The winner will receive a cash prize of 500,000 JPY and will be selected as an "Official Creative Partner" certified by DeCurret DCP. Over the next year, the winner will be given priority to produce various video content, including promotional movies for "DCJPY," the tokenized deposit provided by DeCurret DCP.

SSFF & ASIA has been active for over 25 years to improve the status of video creators and content and to spread them to the world. Through this initiative, we aim to build a creator network where democratic activities using blockchain become more accessible and can link with various services via Web3 and wallets.

<Comment from Satoshi Murabayashi, Representative Director, Chairman and President, CEO of DeCurret DCP Inc.> DeCurret DCP aims to create a "value-circulating community" where companies, regions, various communities, and the people who participate in them can connect more smoothly by utilizing the "DCJPY" network based on blockchain technology. This award aims to create opportunities for creators to connect with each other through the DCJPY network, such as the experience of creators watching and voting on each other's works and the visualization of evaluations of works. I hope this award will help your works take a further leap forward and serve as a catalyst for connections between creators. I am truly looking forward to reuniting with your works.

<Comment from Tetsuya Bessho, Representative of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia / President and CEO of Visualvoice Co., Ltd.> Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia has developed a global video creator economy as a ranking platform. Visualvoice, which is involved in the planning and operation of the film festival, has also started "LIFE LOG BOX," a digital data asset management business utilizing new Web3 and blockchain technology. In this era where all humanity are video creators, we believe that such businesses will create a more democratized, next-generation creator economy. Creating a new style of award in collaboration with DeCurret DCP is a very exciting challenge. I would like to create new value for video assets as intellectual property through the collaboration of financial engineering and information engineering.

DeCurret DCP provides a tokenized deposit platform that supports the issuance and operation of "DCJPY," a tokenized deposit issued by private banks. "DCJPY" is a mechanism that expresses bank deposits as tokens on a blockchain, making them available for digital transactions. It is not a new currency or crypto asset; legally, it is the same "bank deposit" as before, and the issuer is a bank. Therefore, it enables instant settlement and automatic fund transfers according to transaction conditions while maintaining the peace of mind and safety of a deposit.
