At the beginning and end of the course, we will 'sit in seiza and greet' each other. It is a greeting where the student makes eye contact one-on-one with the teacher. Even children who are usually very lively or mischievous become intensely focused from this moment. Furthermore, learning by imitating the teacher further enhances their concentration.
Japanese dance is not just about dancing; it allows you to experience a combination of elements such as etiquette, concentration, and Japanese sensibilities. Items to Bring: Yukata (appropriate for the child's height), yukata obi (one-touch type or heko obi not allowed), strings (2 strings), tabi socks, furoshiki wrapping cloth (a large scarf is acceptable if unavailable; must be able to wrap the yukata)
*Please also prepare an open-neck shirt and knee-length spats to wear under the yukata.
