Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to announce dreams. This press release is a dream of 'Ozora Inc.'
Our Dream Have you ever wanted to fly in the sky?
To fly like a bird and view familiar landscapes from above, an experience that is now possible just by opening a browser on your smartphone or PC.
Ozora Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Representative Director: Gen Takahashi) is a drone startup with the mission of "bringing the possibilities of the sky to everyone." Our developed "GlobeXplore Web" is a free browser-based simulator that allows you to freely fly from a drone's perspective over real-world cities and nature worldwide. No app installation is required, so you can start immediately whenever you feel like it.
Drones often carry images of being "expensive," "difficult," or "unclear where to fly them." In Japan, there are indeed many hurdles to getting started, such as the cost of purchasing a drone and understanding flight regulations. The current situation is that there are almost no environments where you can experience flying a drone on the same day you think, "I want to try flying a little."
We want to eliminate the barrier between "I want to try" and "I tried." Our dream's starting point is to create an entrance to the sky on screen, allowing everyone to experience flying.
What You Can Do with GlobeXplore GlobeXplore Web (https://web.globexplore.app) is a free browser-based drone simulator launched in February 2026. No app installation, high-performance PC, or actual drone is required. You can fly immediately just by accessing the website.
**From above your home to world-famous landmarks.**
Utilizing Google Maps' 3D data, you can freely fly over real-world cities, tourist attractions, and natural landscapes worldwide. Enjoy aerial views of Tokyo's cityscape, the area around Mt. Fuji, New York, and Paris. Even familiar scenery offers a completely different and interesting perspective when viewed from above.
**Easy to operate, yet profound.**
You can operate it with a smartphone touch screen or a controller, and it features multiple flight modes, from the stable GPS mode for easy flying to the advanced acro mode for experts. Beginners can enjoy a casual aerial stroll in GPS mode, and as they get accustomed, they can challenge themselves with controls similar to an actual drone. The design allows for gradual progression at your own pace.
**Even if you fail, you can try again and again.**
Unlike actual drones, you don't have to worry about the risk of crashing or repair costs, allowing you to try bold maneuvers. The ability to repeatedly experience flying with peace of mind is a unique appeal of a simulator.
Thanks to this ease of use, since its launch, it has received access not only from Japan but also from overseas, with over 1,000 users.
Who We Want to Use This **For those interested in drones but unsure where to start.** GlobeXplore Web is ideal as a "first step." Before buying a drone or considering certification, try flying on screen first. Just knowing "what it feels like to fly" will significantly shorten your distance to drones.
**For event and workshop organizers.** Participants can start the experience immediately from their own smartphones on the spot. Since they can continue for free from home after the event, it's not just a "one-time experience session" but can connect their interest in drones directly to hobbies and learning.
**For professionals who use drones for work.** It can also be used as a tool for video production teams to pre-examine camera angles and altitude images and align understanding with pilots. Locations confirmed with Drone Flight Navi (※) can be displayed in GlobeXplore Web's 3D view with one click, allowing for smoother preliminary inspections before going to the site and sharing images within the team.
※Drone Flight Navi: A flight support app for drones that allows checking flight feasibility and regulatory information on a map.
From "Experience" to "Exploration" and "Utilization" What ozora aims for is not a world that ends with just a simulator.
People who discover the joy of flying in the virtual world meet friends in the drone enthusiast community (ODC: ozora Drone Community) and eventually acquire an actual drone. Furthermore, professionals who use drones for work can use the commercial simulator "GlobeXplore Pro" to pre-confirm flight routes and compositions, leading to safe and efficient operations.
Experience, exploration, utilization. Through these three steps, we aim to create a future where drones transform from "tools for a few specialists" into "tools everyone can use."
Our Journey and Achievements - May 2023: Released GlobeXplore Steam version. Gained attention as a drone simulator utilizing real-world terrain data. - January 2025: Officially released the commercial simulator "GlobeXplore Pro." Proposed new professional workflows, such as pre-simulation for filming locations. - February 2026: Received the UI/UX Design Award at the "PLATEAU AWARD 2025" hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Selected as one of the top 10 finalists from entries nationwide. - February 2026: Released GlobeXplore Web. Achieved an environment where anyone can fly for free just with a browser, surpassing 1,000 users.
The Future We Dream Of We want to create a world where, on the very day you become interested in drones, you can fly in the sky.
Our challenge is to build an infrastructure where anyone in the world can fly in the sky with just a browser, something not yet commonplace. We want to nurture GlobeXplore into a presence akin to "Google Maps of the sky."
From there, new drone pilots will emerge, new video creators will be born, and new jobs and cultures using drones will arise. A world where "flying in the sky" becomes one of life's daily choices, like playing a game or taking a photo.
That is our dream.
Message from Representative Director Gen Takahashi When I first flew an FPV (First Person View) drone in Australia as a teenager, my perception of the world changed. Soaring just above the ground, cutting through the wind, and then instantly rising to a height overlooking the city. That experience was an indescribable, visceral emotion.
Returning to Japan, I felt the high barrier to reaching that experience. The cost of the drone, the scarcity of places to fly, and the understanding of legal regulations. There were almost no environments where someone who thought "I want to try" could fly on the same day.
That's why we started by creating an entry point to fly in the sky with just a smartphone.
GlobeXplore is still a small product. However, if someone who flew on screen thinks, "Next, I want to fly in the real sky," that will be the first step of our dream. We are seriously committed to creating a future where GlobeXplore becomes the "gateway to the sky" for people all over the world.
