Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo) will release the second installment of the 'Calorie Mate Jelly' WEB CM series 'Otona no Muchu ni, Ei, Ei, Yo!' on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in a play on words for 'Muchu' (610). The WEB CM depicts the true story of Miyoko Takamatsu, who cycled approximately 40,000 km (equivalent to the Earth's circumference) picking up and dropping off her daughters. Driven by the desire for her children to be in an environment suited to each of them, Takamatsu cycled to a slightly distant kindergarten every day for seven years, including pre-preschool. The CM portrays her days of desperately pedaling for her children, her encounter with cycling, entering keirin school at 49, and becoming a professional keirin cyclist at 50. The WEB CM carries the message, 'Every day connects to your future. You can be passionate anytime.'

New WEB CM 'Otona no Muchu ni, Ei, Ei, Yo! Takamatsu-san'
This WEB CM depicts the life of Miyoko Takamatsu, who raced through life while balancing housework, work, and childcare. Driven by the desire for her children to be in a suitable environment, she cycled to kindergarten every day. The distance was 20 km daily, increasing to 32 km when her second daughter started a different kindergarten. Over seven years including pre-preschool, she cycled approximately 40,000 km, equivalent to the Earth's circumference. Those days were filled with the challenges of childcare. However, the daily cycling, while spending time with her children, unknowingly built strength in her body and mind, eventually opening the door to new challenges. After her childcare duties settled down, she entered keirin school at 49 and made her professional debut at 50. She achieved her first victory at the Takamatsu Keirin Velodrome. Even after retiring as a professional keirin cyclist, Takamatsu's passion for challenges continues, and the CM shows her pursuing a new dream of cycling across the American continent in the near future.
Additionally, Madoka Yashiro, who starred in the previous installment 'Otona no Muchu ni, Ei, Ei, Yo! Yashiro-san,' appears with a robot dance. Through the message 'Every day connects to your future. You can be passionate anytime,' the CM depicts the act of taking on new challenges as an adult. Calorie Mate Jelly, which allows busy adults to easily supplement five major nutrients with one hand, supports their passion with the catchphrase 'Ei, Ei, Yo! (Ei! Nutrition!).'

Background
Calorie Mate, as a balanced nutritional food, has supported people in various scenes such as exams and sports, as well as in their daily positive activities. This work focuses on the parenting generation, who are busy with childcare and housework, and who are 'trying to move forward in their own way.'
Through the story of Miyoko Takamatsu, whose daily cycling for childcare led to new challenges like keirin and a cross-America cycling trip, the CM depicts how a unique 'passion' can be born from the accumulation of everyday moments.
Calorie Mate will continue to support everyone's 'time to be passionate' with nutrition.
Making Movie
Direct coaching on how to 'pedal'! Authentic advice from a former pro keirin cyclist.
During the filming of the scene where the grown-up daughter pushes the bicycle, there was a warm interaction with the cast, including script checks. In the scene where Takamatsu advised on how to pedal, her advice, 'Pull, don't push,' surprised the production team. Initially shy about her first CM shoot, Takamatsu eventually laughed with the cast, creating a homey and bright atmosphere on set.
Racing a mama-chari (standard bicycle) on a keirin track!? A powerful filming location.
At a professional-grade keirin track with a steep bank (canted curve), Takamatsu, leading active racers on track bikes, raced around the bank with child actors on her bicycle. The surreal and powerful sight of a mama-chari mixing in with the tense, race-like atmosphere energized the set.
Interview with Miyoko Takamatsu (Excerpt)
How did you feel when you received the offer for this CM?
I was surprised because I didn't expect it to be such a big production.
What was the most fun part of the filming?
I rode a piste bike (track bike) for the first time in 10 years. Unlike the road bike I usually ride, you can't stop pedaling, so I thought it would take time to get used to it, but I managed to ride it and was relieved.
Seeing so many extras cheering for me reminded me of my active days and made me happy.
What is your impression of Calorie Mate Jelly?
I often go on long rides now, and I think Calorie Mate Jelly is great because it provides a good balance of essential nutrients and contains whey protein rich in BCAA.
With the new packaging, I feel it's more approachable and easy for anyone to drink.
In what situations do you usually consume Calorie Mate Jelly, and for what purpose?
Although I'm retired from professional keirin, I often go on long rides. During breaks every 50-100 km, I drink Calorie Mate Jelly because it allows me to replenish nutrients without stopping, contains 10 types of vitamins, and primarily uses whey protein rich in BCAA. The grapefruit flavor is refreshing and easy to drink. After finishing a 400 km ride or riding all day without sleep, I drink the apple flavor, which has a gentle sweetness.
Why did you cycle to the distant kindergarten for drop-offs and pick-ups?
Thinking about my children, I chose kindergartens that were 'suitable for each child' and 'matched our educational philosophy,' even if they were a bit far. I cycled because I thought it would take less time than walking to the station, taking a train, and then walking to the kindergarten.
What was a happy memory from the kindergarten commutes?
Looking back, the time on the bicycle wasn't just transportation. Cycling along the river, seeing cherry blossoms in spring and spider lilies in autumn, I could talk with my children about various things, like 'How was your day?' 'What did you do at kindergarten?' 'What did you talk about with your friends?' That was fun.
