Osaka Sealing Printing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tennoji-ku, Osaka; President: Tadashi Matsuguchi), a core company of the OSP Group that provides one-stop manufacturing of seals, labels, film products, paperboard packages, and promotional tools, held an opening ceremony on March 29 (Sunday) for 'OSP Kids Garden Ogaki,' an employee-exclusive nursery school located on the premises of its Gifu factory.
The OSP Group promotes the creation of a fulfilling environment, including unique childcare-related systems that exceed legal requirements (see next page) and the installation of lactation rooms at each site, to enable employees involved in childcare to balance work with childbirth and parenting. 'OSP Kids Garden Ogaki' is part of this initiative, marking the second in-house nursery school following the one at the Fukuoka factory six years ago. This nursery school features a 600㎡ garden (equivalent to 2.3 tennis courts / approx. 370 tatami mats / approx. 181.5 tsubo) with the hope that children will improve their physical strength and grow up healthy through safe and fun outdoor play.
Regarding meals, the nursery provides freshly prepared meals and snacks on ceramic tableware, flexibly accommodating needs such as allergy-friendly meals and age-appropriate diets through in-house cooking. The nursery also supports employees by offering free childcare fees for overtime work or holiday shifts due to business circumstances.

Group Representative Tadashi Matsuguchi's Address at the Opening Ceremony
"We are actively engaged in childcare support and promoting women's empowerment with the goal of creating a society where no one needs courage to live, and a company where no one needs courage to work. The operation of OSP Kids Garden is one such initiative, where we have created a childcare environment so that parents can focus on their work with peace of mind. Furthermore, we believe that corporate nursery schools adjacent to workplaces play a significant role in providing opportunities for fathers to participate in housework and childcare. Through the efforts of OSP Kids Garden, we hope to contribute to the realization of children's well-being, a society where children grow up healthy and can lead happy lives in the future. It would be incredibly joyful if, in the future, children who have graduated from our nursery school come to work for the OSP Group and work alongside their parents."
Thoughts from the Person in Charge: Toshio Morimoto, Human Resources and General Affairs Department
A past internal survey revealed that parents raising children feel apologetic for causing inconvenience to others due to sudden absences, while colleagues struggle with how to provide support. Against this backdrop, for the opening of 'OSP Kids Garden Ogaki,' information sessions and nursery tours were conducted for all employees at the Gifu factory, not just users. In addition to introducing new facilities, the aim was to deepen understanding of the situation faced by parents raising children and to encourage everyone to view the nursery not just as a facility for users, but as a resource for the entire workplace. We hope that the opening of the nursery will not only support parents but also foster mutual understanding among employees, leading to a more empathetic and cooperative workplace than ever before.
Voices from Guardians in Regular Childcare
"Being able to commute together every day and drop off my daughter directly was the main reason I decided to enroll her. Since the nursery is on the company premises, I feel secure knowing I can rush over immediately if anything happens. My daughter also seems to enjoy her time at the nursery, reading picture books and playing with toys in the playroom. She seems to really like it. With the availability of systems like reduced working hours for returning to work, I want to balance work and childcare, focusing on my job while also cherishing time with my child."
Background of the Opening of "OSP Kids Garden Ogaki"
Osaka Sealing Printing has manufacturing bases in seven prefectures: Hokkaido, Tochigi, Gifu, Shiga, Osaka, Okayama, and Fukuoka. Among these, the Gifu factory has a high proportion of female employees (male 3: female 7), and the number of male employees taking 'childbirth parental leave (post-birth paternity leave)' is increasing company-wide. Therefore, the nursery was opened as part of environmental improvements to enable employees involved in childcare to balance their life plans for childbirth and parenting with career advancement.
Nursery Operation Aligned with Customer First Principle
This nursery was established not as a measure against waiting lists for childcare, but with the philosophy of "creating a childcare environment that values the hearts of employees and children." Parents often feel guilty when they are late picking up their children due to work, and children often feel lonely waiting for their parents, leading to negative emotions. We aim to operate the nursery with empathy for such unseen emotions and feelings. This childcare operation is also consistent with our fundamental principle of "customer first," which we have cherished and upheld. In the future, we are considering accepting children from outside employees as a contribution to the local community.
