Orikane Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; CEO: Takao Ito; hereafter 'Orikane'), Kawada Feather Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taki-gun, Mie; CEO: Toshikatsu Kawada), and Risupack Co., Ltd. (Gifu, Gifu; President and CEO: Eita Omatsu) will exhibit a booth at 'Junkan Fes Nagoya' to be held at Edion Hisaya Hiroba (Naka-ku, Nagoya) on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Orikane will implement the 'Spiral Picnic Club (SPC),' a circular picnic experience program composed of sustainable items. By providing biodegradable containers to food and beverage booths within Junkan Fes Nagoya and sharing the experience of collecting and composting used containers with visitors, the company aims for the social implementation of circular consumption.
Event Background
In recent years, while interest in environmentally conscious consumer behavior has been growing, there are still few opportunities to experience sustainability through a sense of 'wanting it because it's stylish and fun,' rather than an obligation of 'choosing it because it's good for the environment.'
Noting that the hashtag '#Oshapiku' (stylish picnic) has over 310,000 posts on Instagram and has established itself as a trend culture mainly among Gen Z and the Alpha generation, we devised the 'Spiral Picnic Club' picnic as a product that combines circularity and style.
The bagasse containers sold by the Orikane Group, made from bagasse (sugarcane pulp), are not only biodegradable in soil and sea after disposal but are also a circular material that can be returned to agriculture as compost if properly collected and processed. At the Junkan Fes Nagoya venue, food and drinks will be served in biodegradable containers made from bagasse and PLA cups, creating an experience that avoids single-use plastics.

② 'Eco Station' Booth: Collection of Used Containers
We will set up sorting collection boxes at the venue, with staff to guide visitors. Collected bagasse and PLA containers will be composted at a composting facility.
※Bagasse and PLA containers will be provided by Orikane and Risupack Co., Ltd. to the food and beverage booths at Junkan Fes Nagoya.
【Circulation Model of this Project】
We aim to provide an opportunity for visitors to actually experience the cycle of 'Eating and drinking with bagasse containers → Sorting and collecting used containers → Composting → Reusing as agricultural products → To be used as ingredients for picnics'.
After composting, we will analyze the components of the compost and are proceeding to have cooperating farmers use it on their actual farmland. We also plan to publish the collection rate and plastic reduction amount as effect measurement data.
About Spiral Picnic Club (SPC)
Spiral Picnic Club Logo
Spiral Picnic Club is an experiential content brand that provides a special time under the blue sky through picnic set rentals. It serves as a point of contact for consumers for 'weeco,' a lifestyle brand developed by Orikane.
With an approach of 'I want to pick it up because it's cute and lovely,' rather than 'I choose it because it's good for the environment,' we aim to build a new consumer behavior experience, mainly for Gen Z and the Alpha generation. It combines the three elements of Spiral, Picnic, and Club, designing a circular experience where fun takes the lead.
The upcycle culture brand 'DOKKA vivid' participates as a producer, handling visual and spatial design to create a 'visually fun' and stylish space for visitors.
Furthermore, this content will be made even more attractive through co-creation with other companies that resonate with our philosophy.
