1. Becoming a Company that Customers Continue to Choose

Customers are the starting point for all services provided by the Orico Group. While contributing to the organization through work and becoming who you want to be are very important, I want you first to think about 'why the Orico Group exists' and 'why we are needed by society.'

The common purpose of the Orico Group is 'Open the Future with You.' We support each customer's 'present' and 'future,' from small daily steps to challenges for big dreams, through the power of finance. Encouraging customers to take a new step and opening up possibilities together with them is the Orico Group's philosophy.

I want all executives and employees—not just those who work directly with customers—to always act from a customer-centric perspective and ask themselves, 'Is this truly for the benefit of the customer?' and 'Are we acting in a way that makes customers choose us as a company?' Companies that continue to provide value that is truly selected by customers are the ones that will achieve sustainable development in the future.

2. Embracing Change and Enjoying Challenges

The business environment is constantly changing due to social structures, values, geopolitical risks, and environmental issues. In particular, the recent progress of AI has been spectacular. We are entering an era where AI will be utilized in all operations, going beyond simple efficiency to the development and delivery of new products and services. Looking back later, this fiscal year may be remembered as the 'First Year of AI Co-creation,' and you are taking your first step as professionals at this very timing.

From now on, you will learn many things through training and OJT, but the knowledge and skills you acquire this year may be replaced by something completely new and become obsolete next year. Everyone dislikes major change. There is always resistance to changing accustomed ways of working and thinking. Because you are not yet stained by the company's conventional wisdom, I expect you to be the starting point of change and the driving force for reform. To that end, increase your sensitivity to global trends and continue to learn greedily. Regard change as an opportunity for challenge, and do not fear it; instead, enjoy it.
