(This document is a translated excerpt of a press release issued by Oracle on June 29, 2026)
Oracle today announced four new 'Fusion Agentic Applications' to help improve supply chain performance by enhancing inventory visibility, minimizing impact on suppliers and operations, and increasing manufacturing efficiency. These agent-based applications, embedded in 'Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM)', are enabled by teams of specialized AI agents that work together. Built to focus on outcomes and make autonomous decisions based on proactive reasoning, they are designed for enterprise use. Additionally, Oracle is introducing new inventory optimization capabilities to further strengthen supply chain resilience.
S.Y. Shenoy, Senior Vice President of Development for Fusion SCM at Oracle, said: 'Supply chain leaders face ongoing economic and operational uncertainty, requiring them to improve service levels, control costs, and respond quickly to disruptions. With the new Agentic Applications and inventory optimization capabilities in Oracle Cloud SCM, teams can identify and prioritize issues faster, enabling more informed and timely decision-making across planning, procurement, and manufacturing.'
As part of 'Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications', 'Oracle Cloud SCM' integrates supply chain planning to execution processes on a single AI-powered platform, enhancing resilience and enabling rapid response to market changes. The solution includes AI agents and Agentic Applications that help accelerate a range of operations, including product design, manufacturing, procurement, order management, and logistics execution. Users can also leverage the 'AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications' to build, connect, and run AI automation applications and Agentic Applications using reusable Oracle, partner, and third-party agents—without traditional application development.
Fusion Agentic Applications for Supply Chain
The new 'Fusion Agentic Applications', running on 'Oracle Cloud Infrastructure' and powered by industry-leading LLMs, go beyond assisting operations to executing tasks, helping supply chain leaders achieve higher business outcomes. These applications operate within the existing security framework of 'Oracle Fusion Applications', autonomously performing routine tasks within guardrails. When human judgment significantly impacts outcomes, they surface exceptions, trade-offs, or decisions requiring user input. The following four new 'Fusion Agentic Applications' are now available in 'Oracle Cloud SCM':
- Inventory Planning Command Center: Helps supply chain teams improve inventory availability, increase service levels, and resolve stockouts quickly. By shifting inventory management from manual tracking to business-driven automated workflows, it reduces chaos and improves inventory responsiveness. - Supplier Qualification Workspace: Helps procurement teams reduce supplier-related risks, improve compliance processes, and accelerate supplier qualification. By transforming supplier qualification from fragmented tracking and manual follow-ups to a risk-based guided process, it strengthens compliance and speeds up supplier onboarding decisions. - Production Readiness Workspace: Helps manufacturing teams improve production readiness and reduce setup errors. By shifting from manual checklist processes to proactive corrections and prioritized actions, it reduces errors and prevents production delays. - Kanban Management Workspace: Helps manufacturing teams improve kanban replenishment, reduce stockouts and excess inventory, and stabilize production flow. By upgrading kanban replenishment from periodic manual reviews to proactive, exception-based optimization, it enhances production flow.
Inventory Optimization for Supply Chain Planning
The new inventory optimization capabilities in 'Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning' help improve inventory performance while balancing service levels and inventory costs. Key new features include:
- Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization: Recommends optimal safety stock targets across the network based on demand and lead time variability, helping supply chain teams improve inventory placement and reduce excess inventory across complex supply chain networks. - Interactive Inventory Network Visualization: Provides an integrated view of supply chain interdependencies, inventory levels, and service level metrics across the network, helping planners gain deeper insights into inventory performance and supply chain dependencies. - Inventory Optimization Advisor Agent: Identifies root causes of service level degradation, analyzes inventory dependencies, and recommends safety stock adjustments, helping planners identify inventory risks and improve service levels.
