TOKYO — July 7, 2026

Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL), a global leader in cloud solutions, today announced that Japanese SaaS providers are leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle AI Database to build and deliver AI-powered services for their customers. Japanese SaaS providers including NSW Corporation, Softmax Co., Ltd., Solution & Technology Co., Ltd., and BLUEISH Inc. are utilizing OCI's high-performance, secure cloud foundation and the powerful AI capabilities of Oracle AI Database to help automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and drive better business outcomes from mission-critical business data.

As AI adoption in enterprises moves from proof-of-concept to integration into production services, SaaS providers are expected to quickly implement AI functionalities while securely utilizing business data. To meet these expectations, it is necessary to design use cases tailored to business processes, verify data utilization, and ensure security, governance, and operational readiness. Oracle Japan offers a unique program, "OCI AI Use Case Assessment," which jointly verifies use cases for SaaS providers and AI services and develops architectures utilizing OCI, Oracle AI Database, and OCI Enterprise AI. This program utilizes a collection of over 100 AI use cases organized by industry and business function to support the shortening of the period from planning to verification and implementation of AI services.

NSW Promotes AI Function Implementation in SaaS for Retail and Food Service Industries with OCI

NSW Corporation is advancing the SaaSification and AI function implementation of its retail store solution package "GADGET STORE" and its core system for the food service industry, "GADGET FOOD," by leveraging OCI and Oracle AI Database. One of the implemented AI functions is "Smart Promo Check AI," an AI for proofreading promotional materials. This function reads flyers and menus and automatically compares them with product master data, thereby streamlining the confirmation work for promotional materials. Furthermore, it aims to incorporate competitor information and be utilized for sales strategy formulation. In addition, proof-of-concept (PoC) for AI to detect fraudulent activities at POS registers, AI for customer service support, and AI for optimizing ordering, inventory, and pricing are planned within 2026.

Tetsuya Watanabe, General Manager of the Account Business Department, Enterprise Solution Business Division at NSW Corporation, stated: "AI implementation is a strategy to start small and expand value. We will iteratively verify, gain user feedback, and expand in stages. OCI and Oracle AI Database are important platforms that support the strengthening of our data utilization infrastructure and the implementation of AI functions as we aim to utilize the purchasing data accumulated in GADGET STORE at a higher level. We highly appreciate Oracle's technology and support, which enable us to quickly and securely verify and deploy AI services that directly lead to business improvements. Ultimately, we aim to create AI that can be used with peace of mind and safety."

Softmax Begins Proof-of-Concept Using OCI Enterprise AI

Softmax Co., Ltd., a developer and provider of medical systems, is utilizing OCI Enterprise AI to support task shifting and medical DX in response to reforms in physician working styles. The company has begun a proof-of-concept for generative AI aimed at reducing the burden on medical staff and improving operational efficiency by automating administrative tasks such as documentation. Through automatic generation of referral letters, generation of short summaries by summarizing medical records (charts), and assistance in chart creation, the company aims to create an environment where physicians can spend more time "facing patients." A reduction of 30-50% in work time has been demonstrated for document creation assistance using generative AI, with full-scale service provision planned within fiscal year 2026. In the future, AI utilization will be expanded to chart input combined with voice recognition and text conversion, and draft generation of various medical documents such as discharge summaries and detailed symptom descriptions.

Takuya Furuse, Senior Executive Officer and General Manager of the Medical DX Promotion and Planning Department at Softmax Co., Ltd., stated: "We have adopted OCI and OCI Enterprise AI, which implement the highest level of security, as we handle highly confidential personal information. Furthermore, the AI model market is highly competitive and evolves rapidly. By continuously expanding our supported models, we expect to flexibly incorporate the latest technologies and respond quickly to a wider range of business requirements and use cases in the future."
