Oracle Corporation today announced that DENSO Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Shinnosuke Hayashi) has adopted Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to realize a mobility society that is environmentally friendly and where everyone can feel safe and happy. Expanding its strategic partnership with Oracle, DENSO will newly add the supply chain to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, which is already being used for finance and human resources. This will optimize procurement, manufacturing, and delivery processes, aiming to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
DENSO supplies parts to almost all major global automakers and has about 160,000 employees across 187 locations. The company is advancing automation and efficiency, supporting accurate decision-making, and mitigating supply chain risks while driving rapid innovation and decarbonization efforts. Therefore, it was necessary to consolidate supply chain operations on an integrated, scalable global system. After careful consideration, DENSO decided to standardize by connecting supply chain processes and data with Oracle Fusion Applications' finance and HR applications.
Hirotsugu Takeuchi, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Head of R&D Center, and Head of Production Innovation Center at DENSO Corporation, stated: "In recent years, as supply chain operations become increasingly complex, advanced technologies like AI and analysis/prediction platforms based on integrated data are no longer an option but a prerequisite. This initiative is not merely about operational efficiency; it is a core system renewal to transform the quality and speed of global decision-making. With Oracle Fusion Applications, we will thoroughly enhance data accuracy and freshness, and by incorporating AI into practical operations, we will implement a resilient supply chain."
By adopting Oracle Fusion Applications, DENSO will revamp multiple systems into an AI-powered supply chain solution integrated with finance and HR. Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) are contributing to DENSO's productivity improvement, financial control enhancement, and employee experience improvement. Now, by adding Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) for the planning, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery domains, DENSO will not only strengthen supply chain visibility and execution capabilities but also support cost reduction, risk mitigation, and faster decision-making.
As part of the supply chain modernization measures and strategic partnership, DENSO and Oracle will establish an AI Center of Excellence to build and share knowledge on AI utilization across Oracle Fusion Applications and align management throughout the program. Moving forward, they are also considering the use of AI agents and "Fusion Agentic Applications" for further operational automation.
Steve Miranda, Executive Vice President of Application Development at Oracle, stated: "With DENSO's continuous growth and the increasing speed and complexity of supply chain operations, a new, integrated approach with AI at its core was required. With Oracle Fusion Applications, DENSO can deploy an AI-powered, outcome-driven system that automates end-to-end workflows, elevates supply chain performance, and drives efficient global growth."
