Open Up Group Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman, President and CEO: Yutaka Nishida; hereinafter “the Company”) conducted test marketing among event visitors for sample flower arrangement products, one of the product businesses operated by its special subsidiary Open Up With Inc. (Head Office: Sagamihara, Kanagawa; Representative Director: Motohide Yashiki; hereinafter “Open Up With”). The test marketing was carried out on May 3, 2026, a Sunday and national holiday, at “Tokyo Momoclo Land,” an event commemorating the 18th anniversary of Momoiro Clover Z, held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo. On the day of the event, the Company exhibited an “Open Up Group Booth” inside the venue and displayed product samples. It also held a campaign in which survey respondents were entered into a lottery to win flower arrangements in four colors inspired by Momoclo’s member colors, as well as an all-color arrangement. Visitors to the booth viewed sample flower arrangements produced by Open Up With and answered questions about their color preferences, what they look for in fan-support goods, and their experience purchasing flowers. Implementation overview: The survey was conducted on May 3, 2026, at the Open Up booth in the area around Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. The activity was test marketing related to flower arrangements, targeting visitors to “Tokyo Momoclo Land.” A total of 981 responses were collected via QR code survey. The campaign offered Momoclo-color flower arrangements by lottery to survey respondents. The purpose was to understand visitors’ reactions to and needs for the flower arrangement samples. A total of 981 people responded to the survey. Respondents were mainly in their 20s to 50s, with men accounting for 50.5% and women for 48.4%, reflecting feedback from a broad range of participants. For the question on “desired flower arrangement colors,” “all colors, meaning all member colors,” was the most popular answer at 35.7%. This confirmed demand for the vibrancy of combining multiple colors and for enjoying all member colors together. For the question asking what kind of fan goods respondents would be happy to have, “practical items” ranked highest at 52.9%, followed by “items with a sense of exclusivity” at 23.5% and “items usable at live concerts” at 23.1%. The results showed that fan goods are valued not only for commemorative or special qualities, but also for elements that make them easy to use in everyday life. Regarding flower purchasing experience, the most common multiple-choice response was having purchased fresh flowers as a gift, with 767 responses, confirming that flowers are a familiar gifting option. Other comments included: “It would be a good event keepsake,” “I would buy it if it were sold,” “It is beautiful and includes my favorite member’s color,” “It feels special and makes me happy,” and “The idea of feeling connected to my favorite member through flowers is wonderful.” These comments suggest that flower arrangements incorporating fan colors were positively received as products that could broaden the enjoyment of fan activities.
