Opentone Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announced that its Tourism Big Data Division officially launched its website on April 1, 2026. The site is themed around Tourism x AI x Big Data, with the slogan "Maximizing the 'Earning Power' of Regions with AI and Data."
The division will actively disclose its know-how and case studies in tourism DX, which it has cultivated over 10 years since 2015, working with government ministries, local governments, public interest corporations, and numerous tourism businesses (travel agencies, accommodation facilities, etc.).

Background of Establishment: Our Vision
In 2025, the number of international visitors to Japan reached a record high of approximately 42.68 million (according to the Japan National Tourism Organization).
In addition to the rapid expansion of tourism demand, such as the increase in inbound tourists, the digitalization of tourism distribution through websites and apps for tourist information and bookings has led to a continuous increase and massive growth of tourism data.
On the other hand, we have received many voices from the field expressing concerns about data utilization and a shortage of DX personnel, stating, "We have data, but we can't turn it into a strategy." We have supported the foundation of tourism DX through joint development with the Japan Tourism Association (hereinafter: Japan Tourism Association) and JTB Corp. (hereinafter: JTB).
With the desire to "make this experience (know-how) available to more regions," we have launched the division's first official website.
Features of the Tourism Big Data Division
・ Comprehensive support from "starting" data utilization to "achieving results" and social implementation
Responding to the question "Where do I start?", we provide support in four steps: "Collect → Visualize → Interpret → Act." We can handle everything from data collection to policy implementation and effect measurement.
・ Joint development with public institutions and industry partners
In collaboration with the Japan Tourism Association and JTB, we have jointly developed the 'Japan Tourism Promotion Digital Platform' and the 'Accommodation Data Analysis System.' We also operate the 'Tourism Forecast Platform' within the Tourism Forecast Platform Promotion Council, which involves numerous companies.
・ Our proprietary product 'Kantan Check-in' supporting the front lines of accommodation facilities
'Kantan Check-in' is a service that digitalizes check-in operations and enables the sharing of regional data. It supports the front lines of the accommodation industry, which faces severe labor shortages.
・ 10 years of progress and development achievements
Since its inception in 2015, the division has accumulated hundreds of project achievements in the tourism DX field. We are also involved as a member of Keidanren and the Japan Tourism Association.
