Since this was my first time filming a Chacott commercial, I had a lot of fun thinking about what kind of expressions I could make. When I received the storyboard, I thought it would be a very cool commercial, so I felt a bit of pressure to embody it myself. I wanted to do my best to make it a cool commercial so that everyone would recognize Chacott's cosmetics anew. Q. This shoot took place in a white-themed space. How was it actually filming? I'm always here (at the filming location). In that sense, I had an image of it being a space where I could move freely, so I felt it was a place where I could confidently embody not crumbling even when moving. Also, my skin looks beautiful against white, which made me even happier. Q. You mentioned learning ballet as a child. What image do you have of "Chacott COSMETICS"? I did ballet until the 5th grade (of elementary school), and I wore Chacott ballet shoes and leotards for recitals. I think the first cosmetics I ever had applied to my face were from Chacott. I remember sitting in front of the makeup mirror at recitals, having my mother apply makeup, and those cosmetics were Chacott. So, it's very memorable, and I still use them now, so I feel a very long connection. Q. What were your honest feelings when you received the offer for the "Chacott COSMETICS" commercial? I was surprised. I hadn't actively spoken publicly about doing ballet or using Chacott. I truly felt it was destiny. Q. If you have any memorable ballet episodes, please share them. When I performed in "The Nutcracker," I really loved the mysterious and wondrous musical style. It was a moment when I discovered my preferred genre. It was the first time I recognized my tastes and preferences as a child, so I can't forget it. Q. What do you do to maintain your beauty, and what are your secrets? Originally, when it came to dieting, I thought of it as being quite strict, like restricting my diet. But since I'll be 30 in April, I've started to incorporate exercise in addition to diet restrictions, travel to various places, walk, and eat seasonal foods. I've become more conscious of this kind of healthy beauty. Currently, I'm filming a drama, and I've been enjoying my bento boxes a bit too much, so I've become quite plump. For a few days, I ended up restricting my diet by cutting down on salt and sugar. Q. Please tell us about your recommended way to use "Complexion Creator" and what points you found appealing. I often have outdoor shoots all day, sometimes filming a scene that's only 5 minutes long. It's unacceptable for my makeup to crumble during such times, so this item is incredibly useful. It's quite mundane, but my heart dances when my cats get their winter fur or summer fur. In winter, their form becomes fluffy and big, and they sleep with me in the futon. In summer, they become small and compact, and I find big hairballs, which makes me go "Wow." I have three cats: a Ragdoll, a Siberian, and a Maine Coon. All the cats I've had the pleasure of living with are quite large, long-haired breeds. They're cute. In winter, they become very fluffy. Sometimes, they're so fluffy that for a moment, I can't tell what they are, and from a distance, I wonder, "What is that?" They look like seals. In summer, their fluffy warm inner fur sheds, and they become a bit more slender. Q. What do you enjoy most when spending time with your beloved cats? When I find toys that my cats are obsessed with. They're whimsical, so a shrimp-shaped toy didn't work, but a dragonfly-shaped toy got their attention. I do things like that. Q. Inspired by "Complexion Creator"'s phrase "Doesn't crumble even when moving," is there anything in your private life that you "don't want to compromise"? I don't think I'm particularly particular about many things, but perhaps it's taking a bath. If I just shower without taking a bath, the next day is quite tough. I want to take a bath even if it means cutting 30 minutes from my sleep. Q. What do you do while soaking in the bathtub? I watch streaming content or read manga. It's my hobby time, I guess. When I'm in the middle of a drama series, I inevitably just come home, sleep, wake up, and leave. Other than that, I want to play with my cats. I can watch anime only when I'm in the bath, so I want to secure that time. Q. What new things do you want to start or challenge this spring? Cooking for myself. Specifically, I want to be able to make Japanese food. I cook sometimes, but I don't make elaborate dishes. I only cook when my skin feels a bit rough or when I want to diet. I want to have my own specialty dishes, and also make stylish dishes with various small items arranged on small plates. When living alone, ingredients tend to go to waste, so I can't cook lavishly, but now I aspire to make Japanese food and host home parties. Q. Are there any specific dishes you'd like to try making? Things I'm too lazy to make are like "mentaiko dashimaki" (rolled omelet with spicy cod roe). I end up just making plain dashimaki. So, things that require a little extra effort. I also make simple blanched greens, but I don't make many aemono (dressed salads), so vegetable aemono. I also don't make stews other than chikuzenni, so I want to try making other stews. I'm not very knowledgeable. I've only ever made simple, hearty meals, so I want to learn. Also, I want to be able to cook quickly. My mother once made Japanese-style paella for me. I want to be able to do cool things like making paella using Japanese dashi broth and Japanese clams. Q. What kind of dishes do you usually cook? Easy hot pots, or popular steamed dishes like seiro-mushi. I'm quite trendy, so I try those things. Many of my dishes rely on seasonings to make them work. I want to cook a lot of food skillfully by myself without wasting ingredients. I can make nikujaga (meat and potato stew). Once, when I made it in a pressure cooker, it turned into a potage. I applied too much pressure. I'm clumsy... I haven't used the pressure cooker much since it turned into a potage. Q. You'll be turning 30 on April 16th. How do you reflect on your 20s? I worked a lot. The more I look back, the more fun work memories I have, which is incredibly fortunate, and I've encountered wonderful projects. But in my 30s, I want to travel more and create more personal memories. Q. Are there any places you want to visit? I've always said I want to go to ruins, but I always prioritize tourist destinations and end up going to places like London, so I'd like to visit ruins. I want to go to Cappadocia or that area. Q. What are your career goals? I hope to continue delivering wonderful works in acting, and I'll also do my best with directing, little by little. (In my 20s) I really worked a lot. Even when you're troubled or suffering, don't you sometimes think, "You're beautiful"? When I listen to a friend's troubles, I sometimes think, "Ah, what a beautiful person." But often, the person themselves is the least aware of it. If you can realize that, I think you'll be incredibly strong, to reiterate.
