Yamasa, with over 100 years of history, is also focusing on improving employee benefits, such as increasing child allowances from 5,000 yen to 20,000 yen per child per month, aiming to contribute to regional development.

Furthermore, Kochi Prefecture, with the aim of increasing the number of companies chosen by young people, has approved Yamasa in its 'Kochi Prefecture 10 Billion Yen Company Registration System,' which supports companies challenging to achieve 10 billion yen in sales within the prefecture, in conjunction with the national '10 Billion Yen Declaration' initiative.

Strengthening organizational foundation
Kochi Prefecture, where Yamasa is headquartered, could suffer immense economic damage of 20.5 trillion yen in the event of a Nankai Trough earthquake (as announced in March this year). To drastically strengthen BCP measures, the company plans to consolidate its headquarters, warehouse, Hata sales office, and Kokadai warehouse and relocate to a newly built facility in a highland industrial park at 3936-77 Kanayama, Bushida, Kochi City, by summer 2026.

Existing business deepening and expansion
Yamasa, which handles a wide range of products such as steel, building materials, and civil engineering products, plans to introduce new primary processing equipment in conjunction with the relocation of its new headquarters and warehouse. This is to meet diverse customer needs, provide high-value-added services, acquire new customers by differentiating from competitors, and expand sales channels.

Furthermore, by promoting primary processing, we will create synergy with our other business pillar, the construction contracting business, and strive to secure further orders.

Enhancing welfare benefits
According to an announcement in April last year, Kochi Prefecture's estimated population has fallen below 650,000, facing challenges such as a declining birthrate and an outflow of young people. Amidst this, Yamasa will contribute to the development of the local community by promoting U/I-turns and local employment through continuous wage increases, promoting women's active participation, and improving various welfare systems, including childcare support.

This fiscal year, to contribute to the prefecture's efforts to improve the birthrate, we will enhance the child allowance system, expanding the monthly allowance per child from the conventional 5,000 yen to 20,000 yen. In addition, we will continue to expand various welfare systems to improve employee work-life balance and satisfaction.
