OKULAB Opens Baluko Laundry Place Yubetsu Based on Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Yubetsu Town, Hokkaido

OKULAB Co., Ltd. (CEO Jun Kubota / Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which proposes new lifestyles through laundry services, will pre-open Baluko Laundry Place Yubetsu on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) and grand-open on April 4, 2026 (Saturday), based on the agreement concluded with Yubetsu Town, Hokkaido (hereinafter referred to as "Yubetsu Town").

Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Yubetsu Town and the Role of This Store

Yubetsu Town and OKULAB concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement on June 13, 2025, with the aim of promoting regional revitalization, improving resident services, and strengthening disaster preparedness.

This facility is equipped with professional-grade washing and drying machines, offering not only daily conveniences such as washing large items and time-saving laundry but also facilities that contribute to laundry support for disaster victims and improved quality of life during evacuation in the event of a disaster. As a new hub for the local community, we will contribute to building a safe and secure town.

In addition to the washing and drying course using "peu," Baluko Laundry Place's original detergent and fabric softener that balances environmental consideration with excellent results, we have introduced state-of-the-art equipment and courses that meet regional needs, offering convenience that goes beyond traditional coin laundries.

1. "Large Washing and Drying Machine" Capable of Washing Futon Mattresses

In response to the requests of local residents, we have installed large washing and drying machines (Washing: 34kg / Washing & Drying: 23kg). These machines can handle not only down comforters and blankets but also futon mattresses. Large items that previously required dry cleaning can now be cleaned quickly and hygienically.

2. "mont-bell Water Repellent Course" Recommended for Maintaining Outerwear and Outdoor Gear

We have introduced the mont-bell Water Repellent Course, jointly developed by OKULAB and mont-bell, a Japanese outdoor brand. This course can restore and maintain the water-repellent properties of down jackets and rainwear, supporting the lifestyle of residents in an area active in outdoor pursuits.
