## ■ Comment from Kumamoto University School of Informatics
The 'School of Informatics', the data science faculty at Kumamoto University, cultivates global talent in the fields of DX and data science through integrated arts and sciences small-group education (admission capacity of 60 students). Under a practical curriculum that includes PBL exercises and entrepreneurship education, we value an environment where diverse students, regardless of science or humanities backgrounds, can learn together. To actively encourage women's participation in STEM fields, we also implement Kumamoto University's only female-quota entrance examination.
In the lecture building D-Square, completed in 2025, we have continuously worked to create a campus environment where women can study with peace of mind by upgrading female restroom facilities and preparing changing and nursing rooms. By introducing 'OiTr', which provides free sanitary napkins in women's restrooms, we aim to alleviate anxiety caused by sudden menstruation or economic circumstances, further promoting an environment where all female students can devote themselves entirely to their studies.
