Oh my teeth Inc. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director CEO: Makoto Nishino) exhibited at the "AAO Annual Session 2026," one of the world's largest orthodontic conferences, held from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA.
This marks the first exhibition by a Japan-originated D2C clear aligner brand, building on its achievements of over 10,000 cumulative orthodontic graduates across 12 domestic locations, and representing the first step into its overseas expansion phase.
Background of the Exhibition: To reduce the number of people who "cannot commit to orthodontics"
What Oh my teeth has addressed until now is the reality that many people interested in orthodontics "end up not committing." The background consists of three hurdles: high costs, prolonged treatment, and numerous necessary clinic visits.
To lower these hurdles, Oh my teeth has reimagined the orthodontic experience as "Smart Orthodontics," based on the idea of "maintaining quality while focusing only on what's necessary."
With the vision of "further spreading the adoption of orthodontics in Japan," we aim to continuously refine this experience design through dialogue with overseas orthodontists and related parties.
What was done at AAO 2026
The "AAO Annual Session" is one of the world's largest orthodontic conferences, organized by the American Association of Orthodontists.
At the Oh my teeth booth, we offered a simulated experience of "Smart Orthodontics" through dental alignment simulations, introduced our end-to-end operation from diagnosis to continuous support, and discussed collaboration models with overseas orthodontists.
Approximately 1,500 people visited our booth over the three-day period, and we distributed pamphlets to many of them.
Oh my teeth adopts an integrated model that covers everything from manufacturing clear aligners based on patented technology to home delivery, creating and managing orthodontic plans using a proprietary CRM, and user-向け marketing.
While most exhibiting companies primarily focused on clear aligner manufacturing, software, or machinery wholesale, Oh my teeth's model was considered unique globally. We conversed with many dentists at the venue and received feedback such as:
Comments from dentists from various countries
- "A vertically integrated model that handles everything from manufacturing to treatment plan management and patient support by a single company is rare. It seems capable of functioning well in the market." - "The design of standardizing follow-up after treatment initiation with a proprietary CRM seems effective for improving retention rates." - "Many exhibiting companies offer only aligner manufacturing or standalone software, but it's interesting that Oh my teeth, as a brand, designs the entire user experience."
Encouragement from Japanese dentists
- "A Japanese dental brand exhibiting at AAO is an important step for the industry." - "This is your first exhibition, isn't it? Congratulations." - "If the Japan-originated D2C orthodontic model is accepted in the US, it will provide insights for the entire industry."
During the conference, many manufacturers from neighboring booths guided their dentist acquaintances to our booth, providing an opportunity to truly feel the breadth and depth of AAO's connections.
Furthermore, through discussions with dentists from Japan who are challenging globally, it was a valuable occasion to reconfirm the strengths of Japanese dental technology and the potential of "Made in Japan."
Oh my teeth is recruiting dental hygienists and dentists who are challenging the world from Japan. Please check the Oh my teeth recruitment page for more information.
CEO Comment
Makoto Nishino, Representative Director CEO, Oh my teeth Inc.
To eliminate dental problems for people worldwide. Oh my teeth stands at this starting point, addressing the question of how to reduce the number of people who are "interested in orthodontics but cannot commit."
Now that over 10,000 users have completed orthodontics through Oh my teeth domestically, we have been considering how to expand this reach globally.
At AAO 2026, we received specific feedback from dentists from various countries regarding Oh my teeth's "Smart Orthodontics" model, which integrates everything from clear aligner manufacturing and provision to user experience design. Comments included, "This model originated from Japan is rare," and "It seems effective for improving retention rates."
I am convinced on-site that the "Smart Orthodontics" experience design refined in Japan will be a clear differentiator globally.
The challenges of orthodontics are universal across borders. Oh my teeth will continue to expand the "Smart Orthodontics" experience globally as a Japan-originated brand, collaborating with overseas orthodontists and partners, and adapting to the clinical flows and regulations of each country.
