Launch of 'Giga Raku Wi-Fi High-End 7 Plan' with Wi-Fi 7 Standard and Discontinuation of 'Giga Raku Wi-Fi Basic Plan'

NTT East Corporation (hereinafter 'NTT East') will launch a new 'High-End 7 Plan' for its 'Giga Raku Wi-Fi' easy office Wi-Fi service with support, which is compliant with the Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) standard. The service is scheduled to start on Monday, August 3, 2026, and the confirmed date will be announced on the service homepage. Additionally, the 'Giga Raku Wi-Fi Basic Plan,' for which new sales have already ended, is scheduled to be discontinued on Thursday, September 30, 2027, due to the end of manufacturer support for the equipment used in this plan. We ask current customers to consider migrating to other plans such as the 'High-End 7 Plan'. To encourage more customers to use the 'High-End 7 Plan,' we will run a campaign offering a free monthly usage fee for a certain period for customers who subscribe to the plan. Furthermore, if you subscribe to 'FLET'S Hikari Cross Biz' or 'FLET'S Hikari Cross Office Type' at the same time as the 'High-End 7 Plan,' the free period will be extended. In addition, we will conduct a campaign to waive some installation fees to help current 'Basic Plan' customers smoothly migrate to the 'High-End 7 Plan' for a more comfortable communication environment. 1. Background and Purpose 'Giga Raku Wi-Fi' has been installed in approximately 400,000 contracts, mainly in offices and commercial facilities, and is used by a wide range of customers for building and operating business Wi-Fi environments. In recent years, with the expansion of cloud service utilization, the generalization of online meetings, and the increase in business terminals, the stability and comfort of Wi-Fi environments in offices and stores have a greater impact on business efficiency. Amidst this, there is a growing need for a wireless LAN environment that not only offers high-speed communication but also stable use even when multiple terminals are connected simultaneously. In response to these needs, we will offer the 'High-End 7 Plan,' which supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard, enabling high-speed communication and stable use during multiple terminal connections. On the other hand, the 'Basic Plan,' which has been favored until now, will be discontinued as the equipment used will reach its end-of-life (EoL) for manufacturer support, making it difficult to maintain stable service quality. We aim to continuously enhance the Wi-Fi environment that supports our customers' businesses. 2. Service Overview (1) Features of the 'High-End 7 Plan' This plan supports the latest wireless LAN standard, Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be), which is expected to improve maximum communication speed and connection stability compared to conventional standards. In addition, our expert staff will provide prompt support for Wi-Fi environment setting changes and troubles 365 days a year (9:00-21:00). This will realize a more comfortable and stable communication environment for customers' business environments where online meetings and cloud use have become widespread. - Improved communication stability by utilizing the 6GHz band: By making the 6GHz band available in addition to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, we suppress frequency congestion and provide the stable wireless communication required for business use. - Realization of stable communication through simultaneous use of multiple bands (MLO): With 'MLO (Multi-Link Operation),' which allows simultaneous use of multiple frequency bands (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), communication can be continued by flexibly switching and combining bands even if congestion or interference occurs in a specific band, providing an uninterrupted and stable wireless communication environment. - Improved communication efficiency during multi-terminal connection (Multi-RU): 'Multi-RU (Multi-Resource Unit)' optimally allocates multiple communication resources (RU) to a single terminal, ensuring stable communication quality even in environments where multiple terminals are connected simultaneously. If you apply for 'FLET'S Hikari Cross Office Type' simultaneously, it will be free for 4 months.
